It's a new doctors office and struggling, I normally work mondays as I am full time, but the doc told me to take off. He worked alone that day (not one appt). When pay time came along I was told I would not be getting paid for that day since they can't afford it. I didn't know what to say, I was only payed for the hours worked. Should I have been paid that day by law or is it up too the employer? Thanks for the answers it will be a huge help.

Hi. About 8 to 9 years back i used to live in an apartment complex. When i moved out of the apartment in 2001, i was told to make some payment about carpet damage to the management. The payment was made in full, at the 1st request. But despite it the apartment company still reported it to a collection agency, and the collection agency reported it to credit burea and i was never told anything about it whatsoever by the apartment or the collection agency. Sum 7 to 8 years later, when i check my credit report for the first time, i discover that my credit score is 682 and there is one & only one negative claim, by this collection agency. I contacted the apartment company & the collection agency but got no response. They ignored my letters, never returned any phone calls or said that they'd get back later but never did. Meanwhile this thing remains on my credit report. I contacted a lawyer and he says he will need $800 payment for him 2 help me out. $800 is 2 much 4 me. what should i do?

The math problem I am stuck on is
3x - 2y = 8
The instructions are to write the equation in slope-intercept form. Then find the slope and the y-intercept of the line determined by the equation.
Will some one please help me with this one?

The company I used to work for told me I was vested in my retirement 100% (and I had worked there 3 yrs. to have that) when I turned in my resignation. Well now 1 year later I tried to transfer my funds and the people over the company now say my contract said I have to be there 5 yrs and I did not even work a complete 3 yrs. (28 days short). Well, the papers from TransAmerica show 100% all the way down to March 2007 and now all of a sudden the company has had it changed to 0%. I was told and TransAmerica said they had to be told I was vested 100% for them to put that. Can they change it without notifying me and did they do anything legally wrong. There has been other rumors about this whole situation and I am interested if I can fight this. Any opinions. If I did not give information you need, ask and I will update. Thanks!!

I recently travelled from KUL-TPE-LAX-MCO
KUL - 1x Xray; TPE another Xray, LAX another Xray. So, my
two SATA disks and my motherboard got xrayed 3x. My notebook also. My notebook works fine. I assembled my system just now, both of my hard disk are not recognized by my motherboard. It does not exist as far as the motherboard concern. Is it that my SATA disks are now wiped out?

(my mother-in-law) while I am at work. However, she doesn't listen to anything I ask her. For example, if my daughter spends the night with her I ask that she let her sleep in the pack-and-play, which doubles as a baby bed, but my mother in law puts her in bed with her. This has happened several times so I don't ask her to keep her over night anymore. SO, tonight my mom in law took her to an indoor auction that is notorious for being full of cigarett smoke!!!! I am so upset and am considering not letting her keep my baby anymore. She has raised 4 kids, but i just don't think it's fair for her to ignore my parenting and do it her way. what do you think... am i overreacting?

Of course Americans move to other countries all of the time. Some times for a short time and sometimes to a new home. And Rich people are welcome almost everywhere even in Cuba.

I'm thinking also of people with education and skills. They contribute the most in any country. And they are voting with their feet. This Should send a clear straight message to the politicians in any country...hey brain drain party over here!

And no offense but don't be suprised if some educated and intelligent Americans start thinking about life in Argentina or Chile or Costa Rica!

So what do you think of it? Would you maybe consider doing it some day?

Legally of course! ;)

Anybody here geocache? Have you found any interesting caches? How long have you been caching? My mother and I have been at it for less than a year. It's so much fun. Our best one so far was by the entrance of the freeway. It was a huge plastic tub full of travel bugs. If you want to know what it is head to geocaching.com.

From a certain point, the angle of elevation to the top of a church steeple is 10 degrees. At a point 100 m closer to the steeple, the angle of elevation is 20 degrees. Calculate the height of the church.

the answer i got (from using the sin/cos laws) was 34.21 m. can anyone confirm this for me? though my answer probably is wrong anyway . . .
