I recently travelled from KUL-TPE-LAX-MCO
KUL - 1x Xray; TPE another Xray, LAX another Xray. So, my
two SATA disks and my motherboard got xrayed 3x. My notebook also. My notebook works fine. I assembled my system just now, both of my hard disk are not recognized by my motherboard. It does not exist as far as the motherboard concern. Is it that my SATA disks are now wiped out?

It's possible, but in a situation like that, ALWAYS tell the security people you want your electronics to be hand inspected, not x-ray inspected. Explain why. They should accommodate you. X-ray equipment varies from airport to airport. What is safe at one airport might not be at another as far as electronics and x-rays go.

Go into the bios and tell it to autodetect the disks. Also open the machine and check that the sata cables are connected, they are not very secure and transport vibrations can cause them to fall out.
