I am curious why a more major offensive wasnt mounted in germanys southern defensive perimeter before and after normandy in WW11. They already had a strong foothold here and could have maybe avoided so many casualties fighting there way through the bocage and low countries?

Over the summer I lost 30lbs now I weight somewhere between 151 to 150lbs I'm 5'7 3/4 and I'm 20. I started going to the gym 3 weeks ago like 4-5 times a week I do from 20-40 minutes of cardio and about 200 situps and some strength for my arms and legs. i eat healthy and about 1200-1600 calories a day. I 've noticed that on teh scale I have not lost a single pound in the last 3 weeks can anyoen tell me why?

I'm not to into Mary Kay, Avon, having tupperware parties, etc. I don't like the idea of babysitting or starting up a day care. I would like to work online, if possible- but do not want to waste time taking surveys or getting scammed.
If anybody has some good advice on how to make money while taking care of my 1 year old, please let me know!

My betta made a bubble nest, so I got him a lady. I put them in a breeder tank (one that separates down the middle so that they are in the same water but can't reach each other) and fed them freeze dried bloodworms. I left them there for three weeks and noted that his bubble nest was still there, she was swollen and fat with eggs, and they seemed to sit and look at one another a lot, so I took out the devider. They danced around a bit doing what I assume is the betta "nasty", and then they just stopped... rather than swimming to the top as I'd imagined she would (to lay her eggs in the bubble nest, no?) she started to chase him. I had my net on standby (because I know to take the male out after mating, because often one betta will kill the other) but I couldn't manage to get him out before she'd taken a few good chomps out of his tail. After the injury, he was REALLY inactive, he just sat at the bottom of the tank, but now that he's healing, he's REALLY REALLY active. Is this normal?

My girlfriend went to this party tonight. I didn't go because i got in trouble like two months ago and haven't drank since. My girlfriend was really really drunk when i talked to her. The only reason why I can't open any files is because I deleted a certain program that was able to work on a file extention. But the only way to fix it is to just right-click the file that I want to open, and choose the appropriate program from the Open With choices.

Now, I admit it. I'm pretty slow, so I don't know what all this right-click/open with stuff. So, where exactly do I right-click on a file? the file won't even open. and where is the Open With thing? Help me? Please? I don't understand how I have to fix this in order for it to open my files like it used to.

The dorm room I'm in has triple furniture (bunk beds), and since I am not used to being in such a cramped room, I have accidentally hit my head several times against the beds (one has a desk underneath it, everytime I want to work at that desk I accidentally hit my head). It has been two days and the pain is still excruciating. I have been taking Advil, and I have just started icing the area as well. Help! I don't know what to do.

I just heard a song the other day that I absolutely loved and it flooded back memories. I can't find it, so I was wondering if someone could tell me who the artist is and the song. If it helps, it's a male. I think it's the chorus and it went something like:

A man lives in the penthouse of an apartment building.
Everyday he comes home, he says hello to the dooorman & proceeds to the elevator.
Once in the elevator he pushes the 7th floor. When he reachs the 7th floor he gets out & proceeds to the stairs & walks the remaining floors.
The next morning on his way out he gets in the elevator from his penthouse & pushes the ground floor button, says good morning to the doorman & he's on his way.
Comes home that evening & does the same thing. Pushes the 7th floor button, gets out & proceeds to use the stairs for the remaining floors.
The next evening he comes home & its been raining. He says hello to the doorman as he always does & proceeds to the elevator.
However he doesn't take the stairs for the remaining floors.
WHY????
