How can the darkness above my upper lip be faded?

i do wax, theres no hairthere i think, the skin is just darker than the rest of my face?? i african american by the way :D

Helllo :) i am a Mary Kay consultant, and we have a product called a Facial Highlighting Pen. It comes in several different shades from Ivory to Bronze/Ebony. It is used just for the purpose you are talking about - to lighten darker areas of your face such as under eyes, sides of nose, or upper lip. It's in a foundation-type texture, and comes in a pen-like tube. You just "paint" it on, and tap it into your skin after applying your foundation - it works miracles! It is probably hormonal.

Also if you drink alot of margaritas, the chemicals in this drink will cause this darkening also.

I used Jolen bleach for a while to bleach my "mustache" and I had to stop using it, because it was causing this darkening to happen above my lips.

and sometimes the depiliatory caused it on me too.

But waxing never does...I love waxing

I'm sorry you feel so self conscious about this. You must be a teenager. I used to worry about things like that, too.
I actually had a list of all the things I didn't like about my body
or self. I am 46 now, and those things are so unimportant now. Life is good. Try not to worry, ok.
