Ok, I just want to know that I am not the only one who thinks calling Gen. Petraeus "Gen. Betray-us" is the most insulting and completely ridiculous thing that has ever been said by Americans. It is total disrespect to our own military, and to a man who has given his entire life to keeping the US free and secure. What does this say about Americans? Our own military is not only not supported in their efforts, but now they are being called names and being insulted. It is disgusting, and if you think the Iraq War makes America look bad to the rest of the world, then think how much worse this makes us look, reverting to name-calling and insults to our own armed forces.

Does anyone else feel the way I do about this?

Why do guys (or atleast guys at my school) go for the girls who act like airheads?
Like the loudest girls, that are smart but don't act like it, wear waaay to much make up, and Dress....well let's just say not appropriate for school?

My mother-in-law has two lumps in her breast. It could be cancer or it could just be cysts. She refuses to go to the doctor to have it checked out. Her mom died of cancer two years ago after a long battle and she said she refuses to go through the same thing. I don't know if I should tell my husband or wait to see if it is really cancer. I don't want to stress him out if it is nothing. If he finds out, he will try to pressure her into going and it will cause a big battle in the family because we can't force her to go. I don't want to lie to him but I don't want him to be hurt by his moms decision. What do you think?

Example: Worker is hired in 1998 for $5.50 an hour
each year this worker gets a small raise of .25 cents an hour and in 2007 is making $7.75
Due to difficulty in filling positions and increase in minimum wages, etc, the company must hire new employees at $7.71
Is it fair to do this? There is no way to hire people for less, and
we can't afford to give current employees any more than they are already making? What should we do? How can we make current workers who have been here for years feel good about the situation?
