In his new speech he talks about "no blood for oil," global warming, and he praises liberal hero Noam Chomsky. Maybe the better question is why are the liberals using the same talking points as Osama bin Laden? This feels like the twilight zone.

Does anyone else find it alarming that a major political party in the U.S. appears to be closer aligned with Bin Laden than our own president and our country? You people can go ahead and bash me and call me names all you want, but Bin Laden's speech speaks for itself. Here is full unedited transcript of his speech.

Severance can be denied if an employee refuses to accept a replacement position at the same company?

OK..right now my company is going through layoffs. The WARN act has been activated (we have 60 days to find a new job internally before the layoff actually becomes concrete).

Is it standard practice for a company to waive that employee's severance if that employee refuses an internal job offer? Like for instance, let's say the manager finds the employee a job, but the employee doesn't want to take it b/c he knows it is something that will be depressingly boring, stressful, will be stuck with people that person detests, etc etc.

To me, that's like being railroaded out of the company. "You will let us ram this job down your throat or you will leave" is the message that seems to be communicated. =(

I have also heard however that the HR manager may be willing to waive that requirement so that employees and still have one last chance to pick and choose. Nothing for certain yet, only a rumor.

Rubies, what are thier uses?

The gemstone, what is thier use, other than looking stylish and "hip."
I have a report due, and i cannot find much more information on these gems other than they are used for lasers.

Any other information/sites would be helpful, i know where the rubies came from and how they are more valuable than diamonds, sometimes. Mohs hardness of it:- 9.

PCOS, taking BIGOMET for insulin?

Have been trying to conceive since last 1 year. Periods were always very irregular, I ovulate only with siphene/clomid, one egg normally. Doc has put me on insulin enhancement medicines. Are these medicines safe? Are there any side effects afterwards? Though I dont have diabeties still I am taking this medicine, will it increase chances of such disease in future? I am worried about me getting pregnant as well as about the future consequences of such medication. Please help.

Illegals or Undocumented? Does it Matter?

I see people often get angry at people who say undocumented and say that they are PC for saying it. I don't think that is reasonable because saying undocumented is accurate so I don't care.

Does it bother you?
