I've been dieting and have reached my goal weight, but I'm still not hungry in the morning. I lost the weight by eating only when truly hungry, so I'm afraid eating when I'm not hungry will start bad habits again.

Who says you have to eat before 10:00 am? My mom sometimes wants me to eat right after I wake up, but I'm never hungry then. I don't get hungry for 2-3 hours after I wake up. Not eating when you are not hungry is a good policy.

I can't eat breakfast either. I don't like any kind of breakfast meal to begin with, just thinking about eating within 2 hours of waking up makes me feel .. yuck.
I read that your body doesn't see calories from food or drinks as being any different. So as long as you have some juice or milk in the morning I think you would be fine.

You are right. If your not hungry don't eat. I'm diabetic and I cannot stand to eat until 11:00. I was forcing myself to eat. I was getting fat and my blood sugar was high. Now that I eat when I am hungry I feel much better.

I would say try just having a glass of skim milk in the morning. you're getting both protein and carbs. And that fact that you're not "eating" per say won't let you slip into bad habits. So clearly by writing this you understand the importance of bfast so best of luck and keep up the great work!

I'd say to keep the metabolisim going and whatever else they say to eat in the morning, try to drink one of those yogurt smoothies, or a carnation instant breakfast. If you don't feel you can eat in the morning, get your metabolisim going with calories (read:energy) from a drink.

And congrats on the weight loss!!!

try eating a low carb high protein snack about 30 minutes before bed. something like low fat cottage cheese or a low carb protein shake.
