I know it's only the first week of the regular season, but come on! I didn't get too upset when they lost all four of their preseason games. I mean, the preseason rarely predicts how a team will play in the regular season... But, today was just embarrassing. The team has talented players. Are they just not buying into whatever Herm is trying to do? If they keep playing this way, I see them going 2-14. At best!

It doesn't. A few misunderstood passages include:

1) God told Abraham to offer his son as a sacrifice. However God stopped him before he could do any harm. The point - Abraham's son was very important to him, but he put God first even above his son.

2) A man whose name escapes me asked God for victory in battle and promised to "sacrifice" whatever or whoever he saw first upon arriving home. God gave him his victory, and when he came home the first thing he saw was his daughter. The sacrifice WAS NOT the daughter's life. It was her virginity. She was to remain a virgin all her days and she agreed. (Remember, this is during a time when women were often pressured into marriages to strange men at a young age. She was probably very happy with the way things turned out.)

3) Jesus offered himself up as a living sacrifice for our sin. He was not merely human but was God in the flesh, and after three days he rose again. That's nowhere near the same thing as human sacrifice.

My washer is fairly new but it will agitate the clothes...run through the whole cycle but will not spin @ all.Help.Im tired of ringing the clothes out and having them soaked in soap.Im hoping it would be the filter or something but it cant be the timer or it wouldnt run all the way through its cycle.it just wont spin out.It will drain the water.Just wont spin.

I moved into a new apartment with a couple friends at the beginning of the summer. It's an upper apartment in a very old building - at least 100 years old. I know that old building tend to shift and creek a lot, but there seems to be more than that. Glasses fall out of shelves, pictures fall off of walls, lights turn on while we're out. I'm not really sure of the history of the building, I know it's been lots of things throughout the years. Is there any way I could find out if this place is haunted?

My cat is 16 years old, and she is dying. I would like to keep her comfortable as long as possible, but she is absolutely ravenous, eats anything she can get, and is still losing weight. I give her 3 cans of cat food a day. What would be the best high calorie meals I could give her to help her feel full longer?
She is usually so hungry, she will literally dive into the canned food when I put it down, and then she grabs any of our food she can get off our plates.
Please don't give me the "take her to the vet" speech, she's lived a good life, and there is only one more trip to the vet for her. I'm hoping that I don't have to take her, home would be a less scary place for her to die.

A friend had tooth extraction on his lower left side of the jawline. It has been 10 days and he is still in a lot of pain. No infection, just swelling that comes and goes throughout the day. And every evening around 8pm or later he goes through pain all along the gums, front teeth, jawline etc. Nothing seems to help. Dentist has no answers for him. If there is a dentist out there that can offer a suggestion or someone who went through something similar we would love to hear from you.

My friends' son married a Vietnamese lady in 1997, and he used her name to buy some land in Saigon, and build an apartment house. Later, they sold the house to parlay the money to buy more land and build a hotel out near the airport, at which time his wife started embezzling money and giving some of it to her family, particularly her ister who wanted to go to Law school.
After 8 years of marriage, she files for divorce, gets the hotel, but who represents her at her trial but her sister, whom she had sent to law School! Now she is a rich 27 year old lady who owns her own hotel, and my friends son got nothing. Really lost his shirt on that one.

My son's orthodontist just recently asked us to pay $1300 for a procedure done four years ago claiming that my wife's insurance company denied the claim because of a secondary insurance, which is mine. I'm not really sure if I do included my son, at that time, on my dental insurance beacause we cannot find any document to prove it, and I know that I don't cover them for most of the time. Do I have a chance to contest this and not pay the claim. Who should be liable for everything.

and, please, don't recommend spanking, because I am totally against that!
they don't back-talk all the time; but, they have moments when it's NO to going to take a shower; NO, to doing their homework now; NO, to eating their dinner.
I know this is very common behavior in most children. I would just like suggestions for effective (calm) approaches for handling these moments.

I am a loyal Saturn owner, however I've had some issues with my 2007 Saturn Ion. My car just turn one year old and it's spent 8 weeks at the dealership getting repairs. I'm one away from implying the Lemon Law. The problem is engine misfires. They've replaced the whole top half of my engine and it still misfires. I often sit at my destination waiting for the check engine light to come on before I turn it off. One of the Saturn employees told me that all the Ion's misfire at an Idle. He told me that he has 2 Ion's and they both do it. Does this make it ok? Engine misfires cause problems with your catilack converter, that's an exspensive repair down the line. Any one who's from Ca knows that a bad cat. converter doesn't pass smog. Am I being petty, or should I *****? Does anyone else have engine misfires in their Saturn? Please let me know!

I searched it on yahoo! but I didn't understand the answers I got.
