I'm dating a girl for about 3 months, and on the last date she told me she has herpes for 4 years. I really like this girl, she is really cool and stuff, but isn't it seem too early to risk your health for someone you only knew for 3 month? Plus If I decide to be with her (getting intimate and sex etc), what is the chance I am getting herpes? 100%? And if I break up with herpes in me, would it give me big obstacle in dating new girls in general? So should I leave her?

My dog has killed some of the plants in my backyard - what would be good to replace them with? I'm particularly interested in flowering plants, if that's possible.

It involved pushing round boulders, avoiding spiders, teleporting, obtaining keys to get out of levels etc...if anyone knows the name of this game it would be greatly appreciated. It's a real simple game but was a great way to kill time years ago while in class. Thanks

This is really for those who left school many years ago, but I suppose anyone can play!

I remember my music teacher Mr Lucas from primary school. Taught me to play harmonica and set me on the musical path. He also chose the music for assembly and I remember singing songs by Rod Stewart and Eric Clapton rather than hymns!

if we presume that the erstwhile religious edicts were created to bind the primitive humans in some informal sort of civilised society by every means--love, persuation, persecutions, power, coersion, punishment, reward, hope, promises, union, reunion, etc, etc, etc.....are we to assume that today's Laws had to be created in a modern civilisation to overcome the shortcomings/drawbacks that arose in an ever evolving world, to govern it better on more realistic grounds as opposed to a high moral and probably, anachronistic-stand (out of time) taken by the existing religions of the world, evolved much earlier with few changes.

I play soccer for my high schools team. Im the JV team, and I know I could play varsity if I could just kick the ball better. I can kick it like 20-30 yards, but it only leaves the ground like a foot or two, and I hurt my foot every time (I'm right footed). I used to use my toe when I first started two years ago, but obviously your not supposed to do that.I ve tried using my laces, side of my foot, side of my toe, and nothing works, PLUS it still will bend my foot backwards or something. The pain is on the top of my foot, like where that bone you can feel runs from your big toe to your ankle. I'm not sure if this will help, but I have great ball handling skills, its just my long pass/shooting/field-crossing. I play forward and center-mid (inside and out). Can someone PLEASE help me with this? Thanks alot.

of the McCanns?

I ploughed through just about all the papers today and the Mirror had an interesting snippet which alleged that the Vatican had removed all mention of the McCanns from its website.
What do you think about that?

I know someone who is 66 years-old and in the past 2 years he's had quadruple heart bypass surgery, then they found out he had bladder cancer and they removed his pancreas (he now wears a catheter bag) and one of his kidneys was in poor shape. Now they just found out that he has testicular cancer. Additionally, he never had radiation or chemo and he still eats horribly. I don't know how much more this poor man can take. What do you think his outlook is?

In earlier eras, atheists were , mistrusted by the mainstream. few who dared to push their beliefs on society, like Madalyn Murray O'Hair, were regarded as malevolent kooks.. Today, Hitchens' New York Times bestseller, which has dominated the nonfiction charts for months, boldly condemns religion – including Christianity – as "violent, irrational, intolerant, allied to racism, tribalism, and bigotry, invested in ignorance and hostile to free inquiry, contemptuous of women and coercive toward children
Dawkins, the Oxford scientist who wrote "The God Delusion," is even selling young people "Scarlet Letter" tee-shirts with a giant "A" – for "atheist" – on his website (and bumper stickers too). Somehow, atheism – just like homosexuality, which used to be considered shameful and something to hide – is now becoming hip, sophisticated, enlightened, even a badge of honor.

"NEWSWEEK implied, for example, that ExxonMobil used a think tank to pay academics to criticize global-warming science. Actually, this accusation was long ago discredited, and NEWSWEEK shouldn't have lent it respectability."

Is this just another example where beliefs trump facts?
If you want the story to be true, then it is?

Will the knowledge that this story is bogus and false stop people from using it when it fits their advantage?

My fiance and I had a baby boy in April of 06. He was a healthy baby, only had a couple colds, went to his regular check-ups, and was so smart and happy. We woke him up one morning in September, fed him his bottle and layed him back down to sleep(he was still sleepy). I went back to bed(in the same room), and my fiance went downstairs to watch tv. 20 or 30 minutes later he went over to check on him, and he started screaming that something was wrong, he wouldn't wake up, so we got him out, started CPR and called 911. He was still warm, and they kept trying to get a heartbeat, but it didn't work,he ended up passing away in the hospital. Just being through something like that is unbelievable. But on top of that, the police were doing an investigation. After an autopsy they found cracked ribs, and ended up ruling it undetermined. My question is how can a baby have cracked ribs and we not know it? Why didn't any doctors catch it? And how do you live with not knowing what caused him to pass?
