Start by putting the man's name in your browser. Then go to something like" Photos WWII soldiers".
Also try WWII roster...anything you can think of that might pop up. If you know his rank, put that in the browser as well...for instance: "Sgt. Henry Smith"...see what happens. Good luck!

If you have the persons name, date of birth, branch of service, then you can get some of the war record for that person. The various branches of service have their own records. I recently got a detailed list of the medals my father had earned during WWII.

He was in the Navy and served on a heavy cruiser, the USS San Francisco. It was one of the few ships that did not get damaged at Pearl Harbor.

You shouldn't have much of a problem getting the information especially if you are a relative. From what I got, I was able to buys all the medals my dad earned since we had lost them playing with them when we were kids.

If you know the unit this person served in you can put that in the search window and try there. That's how I found some guys I served with in Vietnam.

you may attempt the national documents, or the conflict museum. it would easily rely on the subject count, and you're actually not very particular approximately no count if the subject is human beings or places.
