New Jersey, like the Middle colonies generally, did not have an OFFICIAL (established) religion Note the following chart:

I am not sure I understand the question.

Do you mean the major religion in New jersey during colony times?

My GUESS would be some sort of Protestantism like Episcople.

NJ had several religious groups- there were the Dutch Reformed, British Anglicans, Presbyterians, Quakers, some Baptists, Mennonites, and other small sects, and a scattering of Catholics and Jews.
