i recently started my second year of high school.. i don't know why but in most classes i feel awkward, and like i don't belong with anyone there. i have no friends in most of my classes.. and there's not really oppertunity to make friends with people in my classes because cliques have already been formed.. and i'm not in one of them. on top of that my teacher just announced we'd be doing a lot of presentations and acting and dancing for the class.. i get so anxious before presentations.. i can't sleep the night before.. i start thinking of bad thoughts i shouldn't be thinking of. i basically convince myself i'd rather be anywhere but there.. and i don't care waht i have to do ( slit myself :S ) i don't know where this is coming from. i was going to cry in class today.. doing anything in front of all those strange faces just makes me so nervous.. and i shouldn't be. i'm alread panicing. i cried as soon as i got home and i don't feel like talking to anyone or going back to any classes

I have a 2 year old boy who we are having trouble with. He seems to be a VERY strong willed little boy. He just doesn't listen to me. If we are out in public, he will run around, refuses to hold my hand or sit in the cart. Even if I strap him in, he will scream and cry all the way thru the store. If we are out eating dinner, he will crawl underneath the table and try to get out. At home he flushes things down the toliet (luckily I am married to a plumber), climbs the counters. You name it, he's probably done it. If you tell him not to do something, he will do it anyway. I have tried standing him in a corner, putting him on the couch in time out, smacking his hands and I have even spanked him. He's not horrible ALL the time, but he sure does have his moments. I am at my wits end and I just don't know what to do. I don't go grocery shopping with him anymore and we can't go out to eat with him either. Does anyone have any suggestions?

When I say it was a shallow conversation, and couldn't tell much about a person by it. What comes to your mind?

I was in class and said this. We had to ask each other questions about our interests and hobbies.

The whole class, teacher included misconstrued what I said. They thought I was saying the girl was shallow.

Was I unclear?

I am 24 weeks pregnant and went to the doctor and she told me that my cervix is open but it is long does anyone know what that means. I had meant to ask what it meant but was so excited about finding out I was having a girl that I didn't. This is my 3rd child and the other two were both induced because my cervix would not dilate on its own or get soft.

I noticed, in reading the first few pages of chapter 41 of Ted Bell's Pirate, that several product brand names were mentioned, for military items, binoculars, video recorder, handgun, booze, cigars, clothing, cars, other items of personal gear.

One of the book's main character's was described as relaxing with a 10-year-old copy of [x] magazine ... the name of the magazine had no relevance to the plot of the book!

It led me to wonder. Do authors of books get a cut, for mentioning product names (such as the magazine title)? After all, the magazine might as well have been Better Homes and Gardens, or DC Comics, or National Geographic, or Scientific American, or ...whatever!

Maybe I should write a book, with all these nifty little brand-name mentions!

Isn't just being human considered to be a sin? This is why you have to be baptized at birth, etc...

Don't those two concepts contradict each other?

You also cannot use the excuse that Jesus was baptized at birth, because we all know John the Baptist did it when Jesus was much older...

Okay, so I'm 11. Last night I left my cell phone in my jacket's pocket, when I went to school this morning with my jacket on, I noticed there while I was on my bus, I just turned it off and decided I would keep in my pocket and leave my jacket in my locker until the end of the day. When I took my jacket out later, my cell phone must have fallen out while I was walking..... should I tell my mom exactly what happened? Or just wait until she asked about it and say that I can't find it anywhere? Because last time when it was actually her, she got SOOOO mad and yelled at me alot.... then i found it in my room where SHE left it and then she pretended that nothing happened.... so what should I do?
