I've heard from some of you that you can't pick and choose which parts of the Bible to believe, unless it actually says so, like a parable for example.

Matthew 4:8 says, “Once again, the devil took him to a very high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in their glory.”

If you reckon Genesis is the literal truth, do you also think the earth is flat? It doesn't actually state that the earth is flat, true, but the above would only be possible if it was. Perhaps Satan used magic to display the whole world. Why then go moutaineering?

Isiah 11:12 also seems to think that it is square, or at least some kind of quadrilateral. "And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth."

Are there mistakes in the Bible, which was written some time ago by people with a lesser understanding of the world than ourselves? Or is the world really flat? Your call.

It seems to me it would have been better of staying part of India on independence in 1947, or staying under British control.

After all it has a failing economy, is riven by corruption, lawlessness, islamic extremism, dictatorship, religious, ethnic and sexual bigotry and discrimination,is culturally and artistically stagnant, and has contributed nothing positive to the world at large.

India is far from perfect, however it does have democracy, the caste system is being challenged, its economy is thriving, and it has inventive scientific, medical and artistic scenes.

It seems the Indian people and their way of life is somewhat superior to me!

Does your conciousness just cease to exist? Or do you go to heaven or hell or purgatory or something else? Do you have a soul? Are you reincarnated? If so, do you always come back as a person?
Or are there 72 virgins waiting for you? If so, where did they come from? What if you prefer more experienced women? Do you get to pick your virgins? If not, who picks them for you?
Or do you end up in Valhalla? And why do you believe what you believe? I'm anxious to know. Do you feel it's wrong to question your beliefs? How can you be sure what you believe is right? And do you think science is trying to destroy God, or that science only proves his existence? What are the odds that nobody has it right?

Okay, my brother has ADHD and takes medication to calm him down. I'm the complete opposite and take vitamins just to keep myself awake. Anyway, today I think (since the pills look very alike) that we accidently switched them and now I'm wiped out because technically the medication is slowing me down . . . and my brother's overly hyper. Can this somehow kill me? That is, if we did switch. If we didn't, then I'm just having another off-day . . .
