Council used secret meeting on 19th July to vote on closure of our only sports facility in Matlock, Derbyshire ,uk. We could not see the report discussed as it was marked confidential, there was no consultation with the public by the conservative council. I am a silver surfer who needs young whizz kids to max exposure of this affront to democracy. Incidentally there are lots of other users who feel as we do. Any help would be gratefully received. The we address in the question is the chief executives secretary, susan.welch@derbyshiredales.gov.uk, the chief executive is david wheatcroft.

I was reading the Daily Mail on the net today and i was reading up about the McCanns. Kate had said that when she realised Madeline was gone she ran out screaming "They've taken her, they've taken her" but who are they? how does she know if it was more than 1 person? how did she know she was taken? If you noticed your child was gone would you not scream "she's gone" but i'd love to know who "they" are. And another thing too, when it was suggested that Madeline could've just gone missing but not kidnapped the McCanns reply was "We're absolutely certain, we've double checked and triple checked and have no doubt she was taken" but were and how did they check this out and what did they check out? What are they hiding?

I put two books on hold at the library, K.D.Lang "All you get is me" and "Jesus: a revolutionary". I'm so pissed because I went out of my way to come to this library, and I put them on hold and some fool started to reshelve them. DARN-it!! I leave for college soon , I wanted to get some leisure reading out of the way before I have to do academic reading.

I guess I will just have to settle for a Pattie Smith book. They're practically the same person right!? ( Wrong) I went around looking at all the trucks of books to be reshelved , but the book I need could be anywhere.

Help me while I'm venting. I suppose I shall rent out some finacne books and busniess? They have a whole celebrity section in the library I was completely unaware of. There are books on the band KISS! and R.E.M! Nate King Cole.

I have a mole on my leg that is darker and bumpier than usual. It hasn't bled or itched, but if you look closely there is a tiny scab right in the middle of the mole. The edges look slightly faded and I am worried. The only problem I have is telling my parents that I suspect something is wrong; they are always busy and every time I try to open up to them about something they are just in denial and say things like "Don't worry about it" or "We already have enough to do..." I know for a fact that if I try to say something about this mole they will just ignore it and tell me that nothing is wrong...

How do I get them to listen to me and to save me from something potentially life threatening? Please help me...

P.S. I have been playing tennis for three years and I have spent a great deal of time in the bright hot sun...

He finished his short career with, 1,325 hits, 275 HR's, 851 RBI's and .260 career. My logic is, if they let the Scooter in, Phil Rizzuto, you have to let Rog in.

I believe his number is retired by the Yankees, and he has a monument in centerfield.

Where are the philosophers on here? The thinkers? Come on guys, no more BS answers, or spam. Serious thought. People in general, make about 1000000 decisions a day, everything from what to eat, drink, where to work, what to wear, everything, so therefore they make the same snap assumption/judgements when they see others as well.

So why is it that people instead of being friendly towards one another, are VERY distrustful, competitive, envious of those that have more, conniving, and hard to categorize because they're so strange?

I mean, yes okay, before anyone critizises me for making broad generalizations, I know that there are good people, and normal people, but there are also the types I just described.

Is it human nature to be self-conscious, self-aware, and put self first above everyone else?

It seems like humans have HUGE ego problems, and everything revolves around the self, status, money, pride, looks, sex.
