How is it possible hat the nazi king wire tappers, with all their high-tech email sniffers, phone call taps, and who knows what god-like ability to spy on citizens;

how is it even possible that they managed to *accidently* delete million of emails regarding what justices to fire and for what reasons?

I mean really. Either they are so stupid and really really suck at wire tapping.

Or I guess it wasn't an accident.

Isn't it amazing that smart people can't recall anything in Congressional hearings? If you or I tampered with e-mails, don't you think we'd be accused of obstruction of justice? the Bush Crime Family believes itself to be above the Law.

AG Gonzales either has evaded questions under oath, which; is obstruction of justice, or he has one of the worst cases of Alzheimer's ever recorded.

Harriet Myers was issued a Congressional summons and has flatly refused to appear, and an active Army General stated that he would evade such a summons, and then he did so. They must appear to be able to claim exectutive privledge!(Presumably they are now in hiding out in the now [in]famous "undiscloseed location".

This is called "Inherent contempt of Congress" and the House Sergeant at Arms can arrest them and bring them before the House for TRIAL, and They can hold them until the next Congress!!!

The Prexy and the Vice Lord, er Vice-Prexy, don't have the time to personally listen to every phone call, and neither do the spy agencies - if they did their would be full employment, since that would comprise a massive labor force.

They do have electronic sniffer programs, like the FBI's "Carnivore", that can search for certain patterns and words - "chatter" - to find out what terrorists, 'Mercans in general, Democrats in particular, and any 'Mercans calling foreign call centers are really talking about! ;->

These days, the best way for terrorists to make VIP 'Mercans afraid of their own shadows, and have the Congress to run for cover at even the most unlikely rumor, is to "chatter"; talk about doing all sorts of nefarious deeds in the near future, but never quite getting around to actually doing them, as it's just as effective and far less expensive and risky as a real terrorist attack. Could the Alzhiemer's afflicted Bush Crime Family decide they need a boost in popularity and do it themselves?? Nah...The Bush Crime Family wouldn't stoop that low. would they?...

Unfortunately many tools that the government could unleash are not used because LAWS have shackled the people that are responsible to keep the people safe.

This is not just Bush and Cheney but anyone in the government.

They must abide by the law and this really is like a library of laws that keep those who want to defend the people from being able to do so.

Foreign nationals should not be protected by the laws but the Citizenry should.

This is why there is such a big deal made of "home-grown" terrorists.

Citizens of the US can fly under the radar whereas Foreign Nationals are not able to act so freely.

It is important for the people of the USA to assist by being aware of activities around them.

It maybe that in the future that foreign nationals need wear prisoner like bracelets while staying in the US. This along with Foreign National Identification Card much like issued to US soldiers may help.

Once I suggested that the US partition Iraq into three parts all inter traffic between the areas funneled and patrolled strongly.

Am still trying to figure out whether you're asking a question or just merely expressing your rage over wire tapping.

Well, wire tapping is a hobby of some people who are so insecure about themselves and so unsure of the answers to some questions asked by some people who are smarter than they are.

And so, they gather data.

But what can they do? They do not know how to use these data in the first place!

So, why the wire tapping? It's just to scare away some ghosts they have created!

Cheer on, ex-righty! It's a funny world.

That's how all politician's are. They hear what they want and close their ears to what they don't want. Just like mails; very easy to trash. The only way to go up against a politician is when people UNITE together or any less than that, its useless. Just like what California did to Grey Davis; ousted him. Oh yes and about Wall Street, it's front page news and I didn't read it yet. Gotta get back on that one later. We'll see. You know, someone did ask if the Fed's are spying on people hear in Y/A. Maybe some terrorists are communicating with each other on Y/A in some kind of secret code way. Possibility. Wow, maybe we better watch what we say or someone will come crashing down our doors with those mega rifles (or whatever they call it) and confiscating our computer! Its a good thing I am a Christian and go only on Christian website. I do go on to iTunes alot!
Have a nice day, you like to save the world and that's nice. God bless you.

They've given him the power to tap phone conversations without obtaining a court's permission, where one party is an overseas terror suspect. The law sunsets in six months, so the debate will continue from there. No it's not a concession I think the president needs or should have. It passed, apparently, because, after having gotten a few concessions, some democrats decided that letting it go for six months and taking the issue up again later was good enough for now, if it meant they didn't have to work during their vacation. If that's the case, I hope the party considers carefully whether it needs them.

I'm going with both of those options. They are really deleted the emails, but are stupid because they didn't think to cover it up, at least better than they did.

As to whether or not the Government is looking into Yahoo! Answers to try to find terrorists, lets see if I can raise some red flags while I exercise my freedom of speech.

Terrorists. Al Qaeda. London train bombing. 9/11. Osama. Allah. Anthrax. Dam.

Yea, it was an accident alright, just like the 20 minute gap in the Nixon Watergate scandal tapes was an accident.

good point...even yahoo saves everysingle search and IP address onto their database. And we all know that the "Patriot" Acts allow them to evesdrop on anyone. Because appearently anyone could be a terrorist. Whats the point on having access to everyone's email if you're not going to save the data and analyze it??? especially emails between officials. These people don't know how computers work either...Nothing and i mean NOTHING is ever truely deleted off of a computer unless you physically destroy the computer. They know this. And they also know most of us DON'T know this. After 7 years of smelling nothing but BS we start to get used to it.

They deleted these emails on purpose , but failed to have the knowledge that you never delete anything from any computer , it stays on your hard drive forever. All a person has to do is go in look on the hard drive and get all these emails brought back to your in box. They have caught a lot of killers thinking they could delete off of their computers and get away with murder . Scott Peterson is a good example , he killed Laci by putting her pregnant body waited down with concrete blocks in the Pacific thought had deleted all the weather and all he done, but that hard drive now has him on Death Row in San Quetin.

What makes you think Bush and Cheney are sitting at the wire-tapping stations listening to conversations?

D-U-H

When the Clinton Administration tried to push the Clipper Chip, succeeded in setting up Project Carnivore to snoop our emails and started using the CIA to monitor folks inside the US... well, I don't see why Dems waited so long to start complaining.
