I was reading the Daily Mail on the net today and i was reading up about the McCanns. Kate had said that when she realised Madeline was gone she ran out screaming "They've taken her, they've taken her" but who are they? how does she know if it was more than 1 person? how did she know she was taken? If you noticed your child was gone would you not scream "she's gone" but i'd love to know who "they" are. And another thing too, when it was suggested that Madeline could've just gone missing but not kidnapped the McCanns reply was "We're absolutely certain, we've double checked and triple checked and have no doubt she was taken" but were and how did they check this out and what did they check out? What are they hiding?

I have been asking who "they" are for weeks now.
How did she know it was "they"? I thought the first time I heard it that it was a very strange thing to have said.
Also why didn't they contact the police until an hour later, by which time around 20 people had traipsed through the apartment which would have destroyed any evidence there was? My other query is, when was the last confirmed sighting of the child in good health other than her parents?

yes i wondered why she would scream 'they've taken her' I'd have thought her response would have been to scream 'she's gone'

I'm not anti or pro the McCanns and I'm just praying for a breakthrough but just occasionally something like this that hasn't been disputed makes me wonder, surely your first reaction wouldn't be thoughts of abduction, you'd initially think she had wandered off. and 'they'? did she not only assume abduction but that there was more than one abductor?

It's intriguing. Mysterious.
This might go down in the annals of unsolved crimes, right up there with Jack the Ripper, Natalie Holloway and JonBenet Ramsey. -RKO- 08/11/07

Okay, everyone is saying that they think the parents are involved in her disappearance and eventhough I think they are the dumbest for leaving her I cant help but wonder WHY???
What could they have gained by having her abducted/murdered? WHy not have all 3 taken? Why just Maddie?
They are really silly for leaving the kids alone but I dont think they wanted this to happen

I've been asking that since the beginning. How can they be SO sure she was abducted??? And Kate could only say something like that if she knew it could happen. How could she know? It doesn't make any sense.

I wish someone would tell me how they managed to get through quiz night. Surely their emotional state would have been a bigger give away than saying they've taken her rather than someone has taken her. As for checking, they would have meant the vicinity in which the apartment was surely.

I must admit that I previously felt sorry for this couple, and thought that the abuse of them on here was out of order, however the more I read and see on the news about this, something seems very wrong indeed.

I really don't know what to make of all of this whole sorry mess. As previous answerers have said there's something not right about this.

That is a very good question cos I have been thinking that since day one. I can't help thinking there is more to this then meets the eye.
