My clock was going crazy and I set it manually and now it sets the time itself to incorrect time. How do I set my analog wall atomic clock from La Crosse back so it is at a good time.

I know we Americans obsess over news stories, too, but I mean come on! This seems to be all you Brits talk about and it's been going on for months. Is life that boring in England these days?

All kidding aside, I'd really like to understand the fascination, debate, angst, whatever, that is connected to this case. I just don't get it.

What are some ideas what to do with this? I have little experience on these things. Should the well be filled in or remove the stone that surrounds it. The stones wouldn't really hurt anything in the ground would they? What would be the cheapest option? The well doesn't have any function it looks very very old.

In the words of good george carlin: "Religion has convinced people that there's an invisible man...living in the sky. Who watches everything you do every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a list of ten specific things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do any of these things, he will send you to a special place, of burning and fire and smoke and torture and anguish for you to live forever, and suffer, and burn, and scream, until the end of time. But he loves you. He loves you. He loves you and he needs money..." Why would you believe in that, while you can wonder about the wonders of life, of nature, of mother earth and not having to pay a dime for it ? The sun raises free, rain falls free and for everyone, no matter what invisible man you believe in...

I want to build a home on my own land, not a "full-sized/normal" home but something about the size of an apartment.
The question comes down to if I'm allowed to wire my own house and/or if it's as efficient (and legal) to buy a natural gas generator and use extension cords behind the walls.

What are the costs involved in and most realistic ways to get water and electricity into a house? How much would the cost of doing such things measure up against the price of building materials (IE wood and cement for the foundation)?

But when I got over there I changed my mind because I have a
girlfriend. Somehow my girlfriend found out anyway that I met
the woman and she left me. I feel it it shouild have been OK
since I didn't actually do anything with the woman. It shouldn't be my fault for that reason. What should I say to make my
girlfriend understand that?

George Washington's character was / is admired on both sides of the Atlantic. Yet Washington insisted on hanging Major John André as a spy ... despite appeals to at least give him a "gentleman's death" by shooting ... and despite the fact that the British did not execute American officers for spying.

So, was Washington showing a vicious, vindictive streak? Or did he have good reasons for insisting that André must hang?

Christians say you need to have faith, yet in the Bible Moses parts the Red Sea. Wouldn't that take away faith?

Wouldn't that demonstrate that there actually was a God since that is impossible? Why do the people who saw that back then get to see miracles in person, yet people now never see anything that is undeniable in present times?

People say miracles do happen now, but they are always ambiguous. A child escaping from a burning building is not scientifically impossible, for example.

The reason why I asked both Christians and atheists this is because I wanted to see if this made sense to anyone that wasn't a Christian. Just because you don't believe in something doesn't mean you don't understand the logic.

Died?? I hear kids (and adults) complaining about their parents...Why?? What if they weren't here anymore? My dad died (drowned) when I was 10 years old and my mom just died 3 years ago (from pancreatic cancer). I would give anything to have them back, my mom was my world. Love them, cherish them, never ever take them for granted!!
