On first glance this may seem like a stupid question.... maybe it is.... years ago I was watching my friends sister who would come home from work, light up a cigarette and have a few glasses of wine. I already smoked so I thought hey she seemed really relaxed and then I tried to get into the habit of drinking every night after work. So what Im asking is have you ever deliberately tried to get yourself into a bad habit in an effort to immitate somebody else? (By the way I know this was a silly thing to do I am just curious and bored)

Jane Fonda, for those of you who didnt know, went over to North Vietnam during the Vietnam war in support of the Communist forces. Back then she was known as "Hanoi Hannah" She actively interogated sever captured US airmen shot down over North Vietnam. I think this kind of scum should be lined up on a wall and shot. This is not an example of an exercise of free speech. She is a traitor to her nation and to all those who fought and died for it. Why she is still walking around within the USA is beyond me, why no one has killed her yet surprises me even more. Why should we let this treachorous monster roam the nation she once campaigned against?

My fiance and are trying to figure out how to break the news to his parents that we are getting married, and that he will be moving in with me two months before our marriage. He lives with his parents right now, and although his parents acept me...they are weary of him getting hurt. Should we tell them boht things at once or would it be better to tell them Sunday that we are getting married and then tell next sunday(the day before he moves out) that he is moving in with me?

America is like a house of cards, built on lies and deception. As the corruption builds, the peoples faith diminishes. At the same time technology has allowed control of the mass to exceed anything in prior history. The powers that be have mastered the art of manipulation. If they can keep the slandered of living up to a certain point the people will not revolt, thus allowing liberties to slowly slip away day by day, generation by generation.
Leaving a society filled with apathy and little hope.

So my question is this. How much can we fix before we loose the game?... ... jinga

My son is 2 weeks and 4 days old and has been nursing for the last 5 hrs. with no break! he SCREAMS when I remove him from the boob .. and I feel like I'm going to pass out! I'm starving (I had dinner with him on the nipple! and I'm hungry again!)
he hasn't taken any naps and here it is midnite and he's still on my nipple eating and NOT sleeping!
Is this normal?
I know the milk is coming out adequetly because when he falls asleep the milk leaks out of his mouth.
Is he just getting a growth spurt????
Is this normal???
and also, why am I so hungry while he nurses?? Is it burning calories when he eats? or just when I'm making more milk?

How long do these growth spurts last that he's going to need to have my nipple in his mouth 24/7???
It's my first baby ...
thanks!

**also, he just got weighed on Monday and the doctor said he's gaining the right amount of weight.

This requires a little reading but i think that it illustrates a very interesting point about how christians answer questions.

I find that very often, if you leave the slightest loophole in your question, christians will cling to it like white on rice.
and then when you rectify that loophole in a restated question, other christians give intriguingly different answers.

Now take this question i asked:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=At94kcNjcZWHKHhcKVWDqCDsy6IX?qid=20070726223906AAkeJ4O

the christian answerers basically accepted that my sociological premises were fairly true, but they felt that it "all made sense in the end" because "some people can't get over themselves" and thusly "failed the test".

I've been playing the piano since I was six. My training was conventional: Chopin, Debussy, Beethoven, Lecuona.
But I started dabbling with soul, bossa nova, blues and jazz by listening to such artists as Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Jobim, Ray Charles, Bachrach, Sergio Mendes, Billie Holiday, Hornsby, Billy Joel, Basia, Clapton, Norah Jones, Benoit, Marsalis, Anita Baker and others in a long list. The chords, the beat, rhythm and vocals just tickled my ears, I guess. But there was something in jazz and blues that stirred me. There was a tinge of sadness, depth, and redemption. Could this be the "blues"? I heard Billie Holiday singing "Strange Fruit", and for the rest of the day, I had it. Ditto Ray Charles singing "Hard Times" and "Drown in My Own Tears."
So I tried to play by ear, not always successfully. I understand some basic chords a bit. If a chord sounds ok, I use it. But everything's instinct. Is there an easier and faster way to learn how to play and to improvise?

People blame God for bad things, but most of them are not servants of God. If you are not a servant of God, why should he protect you from danger? God doesnt even promise protection to his servants. He promises that we will be hated by the world, because we are not of this world. Satan is the God of this world.

I do a good amount of lurking and some answering. In the religion and spirituality section it seems that SOME in the atheist group tend to "bait" Christians with sometimes silly yet inflammatory questions. I dont usually see a bunch of questions titled: "All Christians answer now, are all atheists going to hell?" But I do see stuff like: "Why are Christians so stupid believing in fairytales" etc. So peanut gallery, what is everyones take (all beliefs welcome) on this issue?
