I do a good amount of lurking and some answering. In the religion and spirituality section it seems that SOME in the atheist group tend to "bait" Christians with sometimes silly yet inflammatory questions. I dont usually see a bunch of questions titled: "All Christians answer now, are all atheists going to hell?" But I do see stuff like: "Why are Christians so stupid believing in fairytales" etc. So peanut gallery, what is everyones take (all beliefs welcome) on this issue?

I understand Christians arent completely silent on the question front, however for your three in an hour, I can give you 10. I am not curious about the fact both sides, do I am curious as why atheists "seem" to have more of an axe to grind so to speak.

Atheists really were on the offense as of recently. A book was published recently blaming all the woes of the world on Christians. A very militant book. Many Atheists picked up on the militant attitude and seemed to come in here with a chip on their shoulder. Ironically, looking for respect being one of their prime motivations in life, they became most disrespectful of all of us "stupid" Christians. They seem to be winding down a bit now. Most are seeing the opposite results they wanted, due to their militant and condescending attitudes.

The devil is very diligent though and "new hope" for intellectual conversion is just around another corner.

Lucid Freedom - you obviously have not been reading the questions aimed at atheists. The have been many which are just like "Are all atheists going to hell?" or "Atheists will you repent your sins?"

As for being silly - yes there are many atheists here who play the fool, however there are also many Christians doing that as well. Take questions like "If we come from monkeys then why are there still monkeys?"
