On first glance this may seem like a stupid question.... maybe it is.... years ago I was watching my friends sister who would come home from work, light up a cigarette and have a few glasses of wine. I already smoked so I thought hey she seemed really relaxed and then I tried to get into the habit of drinking every night after work. So what Im asking is have you ever deliberately tried to get yourself into a bad habit in an effort to immitate somebody else? (By the way I know this was a silly thing to do I am just curious and bored)

I thought I was too skinny when I was 15, and I wanted breasts like my sister who weighed more, so I drank a milkshake every day to gain weight. I overdid it, and have never been able to lose it all again. Wish I could go back and do it over.

Hey i dont think its a stupid question... cuz ive felt that way too before not only in drinking but also in smoking...maybe just like you and me, we're just curious about trying "things" for the sake of truly knowing what its gonna be like after being in "it"! What i think would make it stupid though is the reason why we would wanna be in it. The reason why i tried to become an alcoholic and smoker was because i was curious if these things could really make a statement out of me back in college...because they say when you drink and smoke, YOU'RE IN! Uhh...well it kinda is true, being famous when you drink and smoke but i believe only to a certain degree...and that is if you really want to get your life ****** up, YOU keep yourself "in it"...

in many situations ultimatums won't paintings in this style of situation exchange into alcoholism bargains with administration. So in case you attempt to regulate the alcoholic, this could basically push them away extra beneficial. you could attempt, yet he has to prefer to and you reported he would not. this is incredibly conceivable that he sees no subject in any respect, it is person-friendly with alcoholics. So he sees you because of the fact the undertaking and not the alcohol. What i could recommend it to take a diverse course. Ask him if he's a t least prepared to be certain a doctor in view which you are concerned approximately his wellness. tell him that if he assessments out effective then you certainly'll drop it. i'm effective the wellness practitioner will agree that he's putting his wellness in possibility. consult from him extra out of undertaking extremely than from an accusatory point of view. tell him you like him plenty and you ought to make effective he's unquestionably. try this with a view to reel him in and pass from there.

Yes I have. Unfortunately for me, alcohol doesn't seem to affect me at all. One time I had 12 shots of vodka... nothing. I guess that's a good thing though. Since I don't feel anything and my friends don't see any differences whatsoever. They were sober this time, I needed someone to watch in case I spontaneously went toxic. I know that it will never be a problem for me. I can't become addicted to something that doesn't do anything for me except taste bad.

Alcoholics cannot be created - in the sense that a drug addict CAN be created simply by "feeding" him drugs and getting him "hooked" on it.

Real alcoholics must have a mental obsession to drink COMBINED with a physical allergy to alcohol. Physical allergy cannot be "created" by drinking alcohol except in those who are genetically pre-disposed to the malady.

Think of certain types of diabetes. Diabetics are genetically predisposed to diabetes FIRST - then the disease is manifested once they use and/or abuse sugar. We cannot "create" diabetes in individuals who have no pre-disposition to becoming one - simply by feeding them sugar. Likewise we cannot create an alcoholic simply by feeding him alcohol.

If you're actually thinking of doing what you
say, just because this girl happens to be
such a good friend, DON"T.
It wouldn't be difficult to do what you suggest.
But it would be even less productive; and you
wouldn't thank yourself for it; nor would your
friend, for that matter.

Please be well.
