I actually had the opposite happen. In 1968 the NJ Jets were playing the Oakland Raiders in a very close football game. The game went past the 7pm slot. Instead of continuing with the game, some knuckle head at the network switched to the scheduled show, which was the movie Heidi (in progress)My dad and I had to listen to the last 5 minutes of the game on the radio. I really didn't feel too badly though because my team the Jets were leading 32-29 when they pulled the game from TV and managed to lose 43-32, so at least I didn't have to see them snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. But to this day I still hate the name Heidi...lol

Well, you've heard of Tivo... right?
Well, of course I have invented.... Dee'vo. It is completely monitored by my brain waves. If a show starts before I have found the time to settle in to watch it... "CLICK" ... it is paused.
I have to say it is truly revolutionary. If you are good..... I'll send you my proto-type called the Ga-REE-vo. I think you'll find it solves all of your programming needs. :)
