Though I don't believe that living the gay lifestyle is a good choice, and believe it is certainly a choice (or result of confusion/pain in one's life - I saw the study of hamsters turning gay due to stress & overpopulation) -
I care about the people who are in that lifestyle.
Yes, I want them to have "nearest of kin" rights in
hospitalization, for example.
No, I don't want to be censored, fined or sued (against freedom of speech) for saying in public that I disapprove of
the lifestyle and would like them to try.
I also don't want my child taught to say, "There's nothing
wrong with the gay life style." They can say, "Though I
don't approve of their lifestyle, I care about them as humans."
ok - what about gay marriage? Marriage is sacred, yet we as society take it for granted as it is, by and large - perhaps
no more gov't marriage licences - just a statement of
"closest relation" to protect rights? What do you think?
I don't know how to solve adoption rights...
