Your question skips the part where we ask the real questions:
1) is there a god.
2) is there a devil.
Lacking objective evidence for either, I'd say probably not.
Even if one exists, the other need not.
I am delighted by your heresy, though. If you believe that "for every action there is an equal but [opposite] reaction" in terms of god then you are claiming that the devil is equal in power to god. If he weren't, how could his actions be equal? You do realize that by traditional christian dogma you are doing satan's work by making him equal to god? See ya' in heck, pal.

I guess the true question should be.... someone is lying who is it?
the use of the word god goes back to the days when Pharaohs and emperors ruled the developing world.... they themselves called themselves gods... that would mean god and or gods are humans.... looking at the evolution of christianity, the one who monopolizes the word god we begin with the Roman empire, who called it's ruling emperor god, just about 2000 yrs back it was Julius Cesar.... who's ambition was to conquer the known world..... So now looking at the path of christianity it begun with the Roman Catholic Church.... through intimidation, war (inquisitions, crusades) murder (burnings of heretics) the constant squashing of information and extermination of it's enemy grew into what is seen as the christian religion today..... the head of the church now called pope..... You should ask yourself... do I really consider the pope "god"...
when people talk law, what do they mean... acceptable common understanding.... but it has nothing to do with nature or truth. Using your example."for every action there is an equal and positive reaction" I heard it there is an equal reaction... but then sometimes there isn't a reaction at all... and some others say there is an equal and opposite reaction.... so how could this be called a law... the misuse or misunderstanding of words are very common today.... common understanding is what they are, but you have to look at where do these understandings come from..... how many cultures, countries and civilizations are influenced by the "bible" teachings of the Roman church.... look at schools, laws, medicines, the first school were introduced by catholic and christian religions, their "teachings" amount to brain washing slanted or spun to promote the biblical or catholic view.... Schools today don't grade you on how well you think, but how well you can repeat what you are told is right. Have you ever tried arguing with a teacher that he or she is wrong? Schools are the first to introduce, common understanding, Next law and medicines... why is it they use "Latin" Latin originated as the "secret" language of the bible... breaking the bible code simply means deciphering Latin, because it was a language developed to confuse and hide facts I'm sure things are twisted somewhere... for example the word Ceasar... using english rules for soft C e comes before a, but using spell check, it's Caesar, and now just Cesar is acceptable... this shows how flexible and easily manipulated words can be.... Latin is the bible language,,, what is it doing in medicine, and law... speaking of law why is it we are still expected to swear on a bible....
Evil.... I say why has evil never been found, because the only ones preaching it are the ones working for it.... the insidious manipulations of our understanding of things is evil... the way we are easily confused through that bible is evil... and the only one benefiting is the church... for we humans of the planet earth can't see beyond it for it's imposition on us for so long...
Spiritual things... unseen but not unfelt... why is there so little opposition left to the bible? because through murders and wars everything who can understand has been exterminated... one example is John Lennon...(in his latest interviews Chapman explains what pushed him to commit murder, it began when he attended a bible camp, before that he idolized John...) insidious we are spiritual, emotional, mental and physical beings but the spiritual has been monopolized by the church for so many generations that the truth is now hard to comprehend.
My side of the fence... I heard it said that god and the devil are the same thing... you can see by my answer why I say yes and it comes down to the pope..... I choose nature that which we were meant to interact with... and I hope many more will come to realize that the church is nothing more than slavery and we can all chose to walk away and be free once more..... religion evil....

You can't decide if you only read the book written by god.
Unfortunately, god rules much of the world today, and has deceived people into destroying all copies of the book written by the real creator - Satan.
How can you be fair without hearing both sides?
In the bible, satan has only killed ten people, while god killed over two million. What does that tell you?

What you don't seem to understand is that we don't all buy into these concepts of God and the Devil. They do not logically follow from the existence of good and evil.

I am on God's side. I believed Satan for far too long. Then one day God woke me up and said, "It's all a big lie!" and I turned my life over to Jesus Christ then.
I am God's warrior and will fight alongside him when the time is right.
"What can man do to me?" The Answer: Nothing.

you as a species are so melodramatic. If you can't imagine any greater understanding, it must mean that it does not exist. Very self centered. Just like a child who argues with an elder.

Satan tells the truth and God lies.
God told Adam and Eve that they should not eat of the Tree of Knowledge for they would surely die. Satan told them that God just did not want them to have knowledge. They ate of the fruit and did not die, but they did gain wisdom.
The gods then said to themselves, "The man has become like one of us; he knows good and evil. We must keep him from eating some of the fruit from the tree of life, or he will live forever."
God was afaid of man and forced him to leave the garden, lest man become gods. God lives in fear. That is why he is jealous, angry and destructive.

God is the source of all.
everything that is, exists because God chose for it to exist.
why do you assume that, becuase to our tiny perspective, there is evil, that there is "evil" to oppose God?

Evil is not a force, it's a perception. The sooner you realize it, the sooner you'll understand that people do bad things, not the devil.
