This is the very first time I'm hearing anything about this. Not even in the Charismatic churches I've been to here have I heard anything like this.
Obviously, nobody is executing Wiccans, nor is the army about to round them up and burn them with napalm. I can garauntee you that, should some fringe lunatics where I live were to try such an outrageously wicked thing, the Christians here would raise h.e.l.l, and I'd be on the front lines. (I live in Southern Alabama. You don't get more "conservative Christian" than that, my friend!)
Two a$$holes talking such guff does not indicate active advocacy of genocide. It would take a few thousand a$$holes before anyone got really upset about it, I think. There are going to be a few crazies in every group, I'm afraid. Didn't I see some atheist or other here, in our own beloved R&S, advising us that all Christians ought to be lobotomized? And I know there have been other such suggestions...
When you see the villagers with torches and pitchforks heading for your house, screaming for Wiccan blood, that will be time enough to get irritated about it. (that's sarcasm, by the way...I'm good, ain't I?)
Meantime, God bless you!

There were probably always some people who advocated the murder of those who do not belong to the same religion, and when the societal circumstances gave those people power, there were inquisitions, "witch" burnings, pogroms, etc. The majority who participated were just going along with the crowd and did not feel personal responsibility.
We have separation of church and state in the U.S. because our founding fathers were wise enough to know about the dangers. That gives Americans some protection , but it is not a guarantee that we will not be harmed by religious extremists. Maybe there are still the same percentage of people with the witch burning mentality out there, but they just don't have the power today.
Religious extremist have harmed Americans. Remember what David Koresh and Jim Jones did? We need to have common sense and not just assume that those who claim to be religious are all good people.

How about they go and burn the Christians then? Oh, but why can't they, the Wiccans were persecuted for hundreds of years (back when it was Old Paganism) by the Christians, so why can't they have payback? I say they have the right, look what the Christians did during the Inquistion, so does that mean any and all non-Christian people have a right to behead Chrsitians because of past harms? I wish but most of non-Christians seem to be better than most Christians, as in we don't really want revenge, and we seem to have more tolerance for Christians too...

This is one of the most digusting things I have ever read. These people are vile and hateful. How they could ever call themselves Christian, or even HUMAN for that matter. I seriously wonder if the same laws would have been upheald had it beena Wiccan saying the same thing about a Christian. I think NOT!

"conservative christians" DO NOT advocate genocide of any form.
Being one, I do not, nor does anyone I have even heard of. This is the first I have seen(your website). The typical approach by clergy is to pray for those headed in the wrong direction, and foremost, show them love and concern.
you had to go back to the 90's to find some whacko rogue preacher to call for murder? well, I can show you atheists, humanists, fascists, and islamists who call for the same against christians....TODAY...IN EVERY CITY...I don't hear you calling them out. So, you're only concerned with those who think its a good idea to murder wiccans???
There will always be people who say stupid things. some mean it. some don't. sure, watch them if you feel it necessary.
But, THANK GOD we can say our peace here in the U.S. of A. because if we couldn't, this would be no country to live in. This obviously precudes comments of bad taste, but we have to take the good with the bad when you have liberties.
p.s. if you want people to care, make your complaints a little less one sided.

OK, if Christians, especially those who run a church or fortification where religious service is held, wish to kill all the wiccans, then wouldn't that make them sinners in their own doing? Are they too stupid to think they can kill SO many people and then just repent for salvation? If i were God, i wouldn't let them into heaven... no matter how hard i prey... that's just wrong... I'm not a christian and i know that's wrong...
-EDIT- um, random, that's was a little too sardonic... just because the Christiand see the wiccans as sinners dosent mean they could stoop down to their level

A true Christian would never advocate murder of anyone just because beliefs differ.
You certainly enjoy espousing hate against Christians, don't you?
Your implication is that we all want to murder anyone who does not think like we do. You lump all of us into a group and make sweeping generalizations.
So much for promoting harmony on the board, huh?
I am a Christian who loves Wicca and Wiccans. They are the coolest people.
I resent your implication.
You're not being fair, Orion, and you know it.

If anyone could name a single witch that was killed in modern times, I would understand. But why the fuss about things that happened a long time ago? Isn't this the same as blackmail? The Pope did NOTHING to witches. Why should he apologize for anything?

Well first...why would they be prosecuted? It's not like they HAD killed the wiccans, they just said it...the KKK says to kill blacks, muslims say to kill Jews...it's the same thing.
Second they WOULD advocate it because it challenges their faith. If they were secure in their belief in Jesus, like I am, they shouldn't even give it a thought...
Third they do, in fact, call for this...I'm not denying it...but should they? No...you can't use 2 examples(although I know there are more) and use it as all Christians saying that...

The answer is plain and simple. A "REAL" christian would not even conceive of the idea, let alone do it. Yes it is true we have freedom of speech and various other freedoms in this country. That freedom requires us to do as we "OUGHT", NOT AS WE WANT. Christ never condemned anyone. He loved the sinner, but hated the sin. If in fact we believe that Wicca is witchcraft, which I do, we must pray for them, not persecute them.
The woman who was caught in adultery was about to be stoned, and Jesus said, "Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone." Shame on you, who claim to be Conservative Christians and behave as you do.
