I am a parent council (PTA) member with my childrens school and we are always looking for new fundraisers. We have 2 major projects on the go. A new library needing everything. We need $50,000 and have raised $17,000, and a new snack program starting in Sept. for 200 children. Looking for ideas.

I used to be Catholic and am now Atheist. I have done research on jesus, and I am still not sure he did exist, but since I don't, I thought I would ask this question, why was jesus so cool? Seeing as the Bible is useless information to me, the only sources I use tell me that he only stayed within a local community to help, and was not as forgiving as they say he was. I also think he fathered a child, not just because of Dan Brown though. Apparently, this is a mortal sin, and especially in the middle ages. How has such an extinct type of person like "jesus" be so respected in today's community. I'll accept he died for our sins crap, but really give me a good answer. Don't try and convert me either!

When life has undermined you and left you without the certainties that just the day before you had, what do you turn to for comfort? If it is religious faith, how do you glean comfort from your beliefs? If it is intellectualism, how does the intellectual property help you gain perspective? If it is the contact of family and friends, how do they reinforce you to survive and go on?

For some background, i am 14 years old and i live in the philippines. I wrote a 117,000 word fantasy novel with a friend (who is currently editing). I want to have a list of agents that will most likely represent my work and also myself.

If you're read Eragon (don't like the author much), i think you would have an idea of the plot structure, but our book, Legion of Fire, is very different in the characters, setting etc. It is some kind of cross between a sci-fi and a fantasy novel. We plan to beat Paolini in terms of age. Really need help . . . fast.

We finally got an offer on our house, not terrific but certainly acceptable by the standards of the current market. The buyer offered cash on closing, which he wanted done in two months. My realtor put together a purchase agreement and sent it to the buyer's agent. Except for the cash payment, it was pretty standard---the buyer gets the appliances, window treatments, etc. The house was subject to inspection, but except for moisture seepage in the basement, the house passed muster. Everything seemed to be going well, except that now the buyer hasn't signed the purchase agreement after my agent submitted it to his agent two weeks ago. My realtor says the buyer's agent is this big-name "platinum club" type who regards my house as a two-bit property and we are just "a blip on his screen." She also urges patience, as it's "natural" for the buyer to be cautious. I'm wondering however if we are being scammed. The buyer is a real estate investor and that's about all I know about him.

I know a family where the half-sisters (20's) used to physically abused the child. Thankfully, they are now out of that environment. However, when the child is gone, does an abuser physically lash-out on someone else?? Just curious.

does ne 1 know if there is a disposable camera that has a timer on it.. for example u can set it to like 10 seconds n u can walk away from the camera get ready for the picture and after the 10 seconds it will take the picture on its own... know what i mean?

Why if someone says he's a prophet you immediatly would start pointing that person is a fake prophet. In Mathew 7:15 it says that you will recognize them (false prophets) by their acts... What if the person that is claiming to be a prophet is someone who is a great role model for others and only preaches peace and good messages, someone that has dedicated his entire life to serve to his church in a righteous way? If God used to send us prophets before, why not doing it now? we always need some guidance!
