I have a small amount of capital id like to invest in a company who is really doing great things for the environment. Im not talking about massive oil companies who have introduced a 5% renewable energy policy, but companies that are actually making a difference throught the use of sustainable development, a company that can be trusted and will still be here 100 years from now, any ideas... thanks guys

I am putting together a dress for my daughter, and i've come to the part where i have to sew shoulder seams together from the front and back parts of dress. The instructions are as follows "ease in at shoulder seam". I'm completely baffled, what does this mean.
Answers will be appreciated.

What is with this current trend of women/girls having babies and then dumping them on their mothers to raise?

I see it all over the place and my sister is the same.

They have a baby and then decide it's too much work and the grandma ends up babysitting all the time while the children's mother just takes it easy. How completely unfair!

If you're going to have a child - be prepared to be a mother!

Sorry but does this make anyone else cringe?

,,.without getting a violation? But religious types can threaten me with burning in hell and all sort of dire happenings if I do not see things their way?
Is it all as one-sided as I think it is? Should we not give them a violation for saying that gods exist?

Part A: Modern schools go to huge lengths to disuade girls from getting pregnant. They teach us to believe that it's the worst thing that can happen, it takes away your life, destroys your opportunities, tires you out day and night with demanding, screaming babies...your life is all but over. Needless to say, all this brainwashing effort has a deep effect.

Part B: Governments try to persuade educated women to have more children because, for some 'inexplicable'(!!) reason, a high percentage choose not to! (Go figure!)

Well, I have been influenced. It all worked a treat on me. I grew up believing that children will make me miserable, and didn't really even start to question this until age 32. Then it occurred to me that maybe, just maybe, it isn't true... Is it????

I am still scared - that I will be trapped, poor, stressed, unhappy... But others rave about it, and keep doing it. What makes the difference between a good and bad parenting experience?

I came back after a 20 minute journey this morning and there was a trail of silvery grey and white hair in a 20 ft long length - lots of it, not just a thin strand - looked a bit like a wig when all pulled out and clumped up. WHAT THE HECK IS THIS, PLEASE? Does anyone know. I've driven the car round the houses and it is running fine, not overheating - sweat as a nut. NEVER experienced this before - HELP!

If you don't know what it is, its a language created by a Polish man in the late 1800's. Its compiled of latin words and the rules are quite simple. Each vowel makes the same sound no exceptions. In the english language we say "Tough" and "Through" and the 'ou' combo makes different sounds, not in esperanto. There is also no feminin or masculin forms of words. 'THE' is said like 'La' each time regardless of the noun or verb. The words are also said the way they are spelt but you pronounce every letter individually. "Knock" has a silent 'K' in english, but in Esperanto there are no silent letters. The language was designed for it to be easier to communicate. I've recently been taking online courses [which are very free :P] and the language is simple. It is sometimes refered to as an "Artificial' language yet it is spoken by 2 million+ people. What do you think defines a language, better yet, do you think that esperanto should be recogniced as a language? Why or Why not?

My rottweiler had knee surgery a year and a half ago. She did very well from the surgery. (Her condition is degenerative). The vet told me there was an 80% chance her other knee would go within a year and unfortunately it did. My Bernese Mountain Dog 8 months after my Rottweilers surgery decided to jump over a fence chasing a wild turkey and blew out her knee thus needing the same surgery. We had a rough year and a half. Rehab for this surgery is approx. 8 months. We have spent over 8,000.00 so far on both dog in less than two years. I have heard mixed reviews on doing the surgery or not doing the surgery. Financially it is two difficult for us go for another 3,500.00. Is there anyone out there that has a LARGE breed dog that decided not to do the surgery? And if so how is the dog doing?
