I'm doing some research on retirement plans for a company that has about 100 employees, average age 40. They are considering offering 401K, and would like some answers on:

1. % of employers that “match” ?
2. typical percentage or amount matched
3. Do they do it at so many years or immediately?
4. Do you have to be fully vested prior to matching?
5. Any employers that do it right away/ at one year, etc

If YOU own a business with similiar demographics or are the advisor to one, would you please give us some insight?

Bush just declared an effective coup, by stating that not only does he believe that he is above the law, but that he can block any attempt to prosecute any member of the executive branch for any alleged violation of law.

In other words, he has asserted that he is able to break the law with complete impunity, and there is nothing the courts or congress can do about it.

If he has sworn an oath to see that the laws are faithfully executed, shouldn't that mean that US Attorneys would be required to prosecute a Contempt of Congress charge? Otherwise, there is no legal accountability.

How is this not effectively a bloodless coup?

Since it is not good for the environment to buy water in plastic bottles since petroleum is used, is it also bad to have them recycled? If so, what is suggestion for disposal?

I've had my items posted on Craigslist for awhile. I reposted them a few times so they are at the top of the list. Unfortunately, I have not sold a darn thing...not one thing
!!!! Many of the things I'm selling are household items like figurines, lamps, decorative pillows. Some things are even new and have not even been taken out of original packaging. The other things are very gently used, so it is not like I'm selling a pile of grease rags. When the ad first gets posted, I have lots of interest, but then no one ever follows through with the sale! Why would people even inquire if they are not serious? I'm so tired of dealing with idiots. Would I have better luck on Ebay. I thought about it, but I hate dealing with shipping, getting to the post office on time, and the possibility of idiotic people who can read leave me negative feedback. I really need the money, but should I maybe just give this stuff to charity. I just really hate not to get anything for it? What do you think?

I am interested in learning how to sail. After doing so, I would like to use that experience to sail from New York to Florida to the Caribbean.

I'm not hard core - I don't mean to do it without a couple of engines, lots of practice, and safety equipment. My question is, what kind of boat - that isn't too expensive - would be best suited for this purpose?

And where might I go online to start learning about what I need to learn about?

It's clearly inconceivable that a human being could just exist, with nothing being responsible for its existence, so how is it logical to suppose that something infinitely more advanced than a human being - an intelligent creator of the universe - does exactly that?

This is a cultural question, not a racial one. I find that when I deal with Indians they are always believing they are being fooled no matter how low the price of something is. Is it just me or is this something common in India (being scammed) so when they come here they really have their guard up?

Hi, Im 34 weeks 5 days. I have had mild menstrual like cramps on and off. I have an apt with my doc next week where I will be 35 weeks 4 days. He wants to give me an internal exam next week and says I could contract. Does that mean he thinks I will go into labor?????? I'm so confused!!! Does that usually happen???

I see people turning left all the time at a one-way intersection near my work. It annoys the hell out of me because it looks really dangerous for one thing. Most of these people turn way out into the center of the one-way, and if they are going that far- well hell why not just go all the way through the red light?

I also get pretty annoyed when I am sitting in that far left lane and I am going to go straight, and I can see some guy with his left blinker on getting irritated and impatient. I mean come on man it is a red light anyway. Is that legal? I don't know for absolute certain, but it sure is annoying to me.

One day a blonde wanted to raise some money. So she went into a really wealthy neighborhood and went door to door for jobs. She went to this man's house and said well do you have a job for me?
