Note the people who are unsure because they think some are smart (as a bag of rocks maybe) and some aren't.

I asked for the average IQ and I guess that term threw them.

3 to 6. Brain dead hovers around 8, mentally retarded is 45. Yeah 3 to 6 points is probably generous.

Considering that, by definition, the average IQ is 100, and that one's intelligence quotient is not an accurate representation of one's true intelligence--given the multi-dimensional nature and degrees of intelligence--I would say that the IQ of a typical WWE fan is somewhere around 100, or open to debate. Then again, the IQ of many of these respondents is just as questionable.

Wow...I can't believe how much I "sound like a second grader"!

I've been a wrestling fan for 20+ years and was tested with a genius IQ on one test, near genius or superior intelligence on another. I have a friend that has been a wrestling fan for 25+ years, scored high enough on the Stanford-Binet (132+) that he qualified for eligibility in Mensa...so how is being a wrestling fan even remotely relevant to one's IQ?

About the same as a fan of just about anything else. There's always some stupid fans and some smart fans, and it comes out to about average. Except if you ask for the average IQ of a typical fan of metaphysics. Then that might be a little higher.

Some wrestling fans are able to fully dissect a wrestling match and tell how each move further tells the in-ring story that is sorely needed for a good match, and other wrestling fans like someone because "he's hot." Hell, I've seen some wrestling fans who regularly discuss Japanese culture and Pink Floyd lyrics, and other fans who still think it's real. Again, everything has a fanbase with a wide range of IQs. Unfortunately, I've seen some people insult wrestling fans for being not smart, even though the lot of wrestling fans are smarter than the insulter himself.

Look I 'm (being a wrestling fan) sick and tired of this deal about wrestling fans being stupid! To answer the question....it would vary just like the fans of ANY sport!! Most wrestling fans love wrestling because ITS ENTERTAINING and NOT because they believe the story lines and think that its REAL. Bottome line.....these guys ARE athletes and do get hurt performing for the fans!! ITS NOT FAKE but its NOT real either, get it?....its just like a movie or a tv show....its for entertainment purposes!!!

Way below moron and mentally retarded that's for sure. I'm thinking more in line of a -15.

But I do agree with an earlier answer, about the same as the viewers of Idol, Survivor, all day time Soap Operas, and 90% of TV for that matter.

Oh and Raymond dream on.
