I've always had problems with my family, for as long as I can remeber. Then again, my family is kind of messed up. My sisters were always mentally abusive, putting me down when ever they could, even into my adult years. They are just mean people I guess. Most of my aunts, uncles, and cousins are either addicted to drugs, alcahol, or ofted, both. Some women in my family seem to think that pedophiles are ok, and dispite their childrens claims, and the police investigations, refuse to believe their children that her boyfriend, or husband, has molested her children (regardless of his past record). The only person I seem to care about in my family is my mother, who is a sweet, caring woman who just wants her children to get along. I dont think we can.

I moved away from my family, across country and do not have contact with any one but my mother, even though she keeps trying to get me to talk with my family. My question is,

Have I done the right thing for my self by leaving?

I know that ppl say chocolate will kill dogs if u feed it to them...but a little won't i know cuz my brother gave chocolate to out dog.....anyways when he did i thought of this question...does any1 know the exzact reason why or what causes them to be allergic to it????

My wife and I just bought a home that has carpet in every single room...including the front porch. The underside of the porch shows that it is concret underneath the carpet. What's the best way to remove the carpet...it's old, it's moldy and gross to walk on when it rains. I'd like to get rid of this stuff as quickly and cleanly as possible, any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I am having an abortion tomorrow and I am terrified. I am scared and afraid but I need to get it done for personal reasons. I went on Monday to do one at a clinic but I chickened out when they called my name and I left. i was unemployed for 15 months and a friend loaned me 10000.00 to keep me going . I am back at work but i need to pay back this debt and now my credit sucks because both my wife and i were unemployed. Our credit cards got behind but we were able to keep the house up and our carnote current and we are both back at work but now my friend is having rough times and needs the money fast. Do any of yall see any alternitives since my parents are unable to help and i am scared to borrow against my house. my interest rate is 6% on my house and if i refianance i was told it could go up to 10 to 18 %

I do not get along with my mother, at all. I just feel she is very negative towards me and the world. I plan on moving out of her house within the year. At that time, I was thinking about cutting ties w/ her for a while. I just feel like she does not realize how negative she is towards me. She said some pretty hurtful things that have lowered my self-esteem greatly.

I just think she is very negative. What do I do? I was even thinking ahead to when I have children of my own, I would not want them to be subjected to her negative attitude and ignorant views.

Is it bad to turn your back on your family? What do I do? I've tried talking to her about this, but she's does not listen. She believes that she knows everything and no one can tell her otherwise.

they have an investment property foreclosed on? I have a family member in this situation right now. Before you guys attack me that she is scum for not paying, without going into the whole long drawn out story, let me say that she had renters who did her WRONG & she has just gone through a bout of cancer & a long hospital stay. She is single & lives paycheck to paycheck & can't afford to pay this debt back. Is there any other option for her to come out of this besides bankruptcy?

Ok, so really 2 questions:

1) Can a 2nd mortgage company on another house legally put a lien on her primary residence?

2) Is there any way for her to avoid bankruptcy?
