im not talking about being on yahoo answers. god knows we are all becoming retards on here. i mean in general, do you feel like normal people are getting smarter and more skilled in our society?

in 2001 when i graduated highschool the world seemed a lot different. it was pre 9/11 and that may have even made a difference.

i cant tell if all of society has gotten smarter or if maybe just i have through aging, education, and experience.

...what do you think? have average people gotten smarter in the past 6 years?

Dealer claims not to "worry" about the new note payment; equates a car note with car "maintenance" as lots/stuff will start to go wrong with our car even tho' has only 36K miles and is in great condition. Isn't this just sales pitch? We don't believe there would be as much maintenance, repairs, etc. on our present car as to justify buying a new car, at least not till our car is much older.

ok so I have this boy who happens to be my ex-boyfriend and my first everything. When we broke up we stopped talking, in this time I had a new boyfriend for about a year, and everytime he saw me with my boyfriend he used to stare and kinda look sad! When me and my boyfriend broke up I messaged him again, he saw each other alot, and eventually ended up sleeping together, in conversation one day it came up that my old boyfriend lived with me, and he backed away from me since that point, I then had a boy hanging off me, we were together all the time, which made him back off more, I ended up writing him a message and saying that where just friends and other stuff, he didnt write back for about 1 month, then he messaged me his new number, and we have been talking for about 2 months now really good, and its his birhtday soon so i asked if he wanted to go to the zoo then stay in a hotel which he agreed to,

I was saved in a UPCI Church. i was babtized when i was fifteen and sixteen when i recieved the gift of the holy Ghost. I grew up in a angnostic Family. and My friend helped me find my way to salvation through repentence and babtizm . most of the time i would go with the rules.. when i came into the chuch i stuck out right off the bat.. he told me he loved me and he was my best friend for along time.. unitll push came to shove and the church accused me of backsliding.. he turned on me .. in a vicious way. My question.. is this to i go to the chuch that i was saved in.. or do i go to a church where my Salvation is between me and God and not MySelf and the United Pentecostal Church International?

You would think that Hitler would have been mad at the Japanese for drawing the US into the war - it would have been easier to fight GB and Russia and worry about the US later.

Did the German military collaborate with the Japanese on the attack? How close was the axis alliance as far as military planning, etc?

I had a major loss in power. You can throttle almost half way then it just kind of boggs at the same speed no matter how much gas you give it. I think that the choke is stuck because it is running rich at the plugs and it happened after the choke was hit to many times. The motor is a 65HP 1971 Evinrude. Can anyone give me some advice on what to try to get it back? Thanks!

I've had irregular periods for 2 years almost and can't afford to go to a doc.....i went to a clinic when i had sharp pains in my abdomen and i got a blood work done and everything is fine they said...i had a little too many white blood cells which caused a little infection now gone....i took iron tablets but still have irregular periods.....what could it be?

My friends got married with no license. They had a "ceremony" in the house by a "real" preacher who says he has the authority to marry "under God". Are they really married? Our state no longer recognizes common law.

They say they didn't want a license because they will get more retirement money this way. They are active in our local church and professing Christians.

my 3 month old has been teething for the past 3 or 4 weeks, there is the white bump on his gum and drool and red cheeks and gross poo and all that stuff. I ws rubbing teething gel onto his gum and it feels really rough, not smooth like it was. How much longer will it be now that its rough?

I apologize for my rape question that was asked in anger. My stats, incorrect and corrections LATER cited, didn't convince some and I respect that.
I'm glad that I got rhetoric going though. Even though I didn't agree with all, you made me think about what I was saying as well. And admittedly, the stats I quoted were OLD.

That being said, I want to ask - by just seeing the word RAPE; what does that mean to you? What can people like me do to help in preventative ways or educate that all men/women aren't out to do this?

What can I do to show others that saying this word isn't a joke and not be used to cover up for a mistake?

Another long one - sorry. But appreciate your input.
