No, we can't follow the law mentally or physically. What a wicked man I am. Who will save me from this body of sin and death; praise God for Jesus Christ. He did what I cannot do. He fulfilled the law.

No, but the Law of God leads you to God.

Edit: The Law is the Schoolmaster that leads us to Christ. WHY? Because it convicts us of our sins and shows us our need for a Savior.

Now, in school you learned 2+2=4, it will always equal 4. That and other things you learned in school are the foundation for a successful life. So it is with the Law. The Sabbath is always going to be the 7th day of the Week, our Saturday. Just because we have come to Christ and been forgiven our sins, does not mean that we are permitted to resume those sins after baptism. The Law defines sin. God defined the Law. So, Schoolmaster Law is not a God, but it leads us to God, continually, everyday. Study of that Law and continuing in the things the Schoolmaster taught are essential to salvation.

By the 'Law' I assume you are referring primarily to the ten commandments. Why are they there? All they do is just tell you that you can't keep them - and even worse if you fail just one of them once you've had it. The law is not some kind of God. It tells you that without God you ain't gonna make it.
