Give up. Coming from someone who took five years of acting school, its the smartest thing to do. Eat, then pay rent, pay bills ect.

Before you even start considering professional acting, get some experience by doing community theatre and school plays every opportunity you get! You'll find out what the audition process is like, what rehearsals are like, how much stage fright you have to deal with and conquer (if any) and you'll find out if you even really like it all that much! If you do, then you'll also have contacts in the theatre world (directors, stage managers, etc. from the shows you've been in) who can help guide you to whatever the next step should be! Break a leg!

To be an actress/actor, you first need to find an agent (don't ask me how to go about doing that). The agent then helps recommend you to parts in TV shows, movies, etc.

Or, you could find an open audition for something like a TV show, movie, etc.

Hope this is of some help. Sorry, I'm not an actor.

You can be an actress w/o paying money, do community theatre and school plays, and you're an actress, at no cost at all.

If you're thinking of commercial acting, it still doesn't cost anything, no one gets paid until you do.

Money is never an issue, never let it keep you down!

Mimi's answer is good. David's answer is stupid. Poor sod never figured out that acting school does not help you become an actor.

Just keep doing all the acting you can. As you mature, you can think about getting an agent and going pro.
