my 3 month old has been teething for the past 3 or 4 weeks, there is the white bump on his gum and drool and red cheeks and gross poo and all that stuff. I ws rubbing teething gel onto his gum and it feels really rough, not smooth like it was. How much longer will it be now that its rough?

Unfortunately, it could be a while. My daughter's teeth have come close to coming in 3-4 times, I could see it and everything, then a few days later she's not so irritable and it's not there anymore. My friend had it happen w/ all 4 of her kids. My brat is 7 mo now and still has no teeth. The drooling is usually pretty constant starting around that age and will really increase when teething is worst. I know how you feel, maybe you'll be lucky and he'll get one sooner instead of later :) Good luck!

It shouldn't take too long. My son was teething when he was 3-4 months old. I think it took him almost a 2 months just to get the bottom ones out.

My oldest got his bottom 2 teeth when he was 2 months old, but my younger two kids didn't get theirs till they were 9 and 10 months old, yet showed signs of teething for months. It's hard to tell, each baby is different. I wouldn't get him too used to teething gel though... he can build a resistance to it. Try letting him chew on a wet washcloth... that worked for my babies better than any teethers or gels.

3 MONTHS OLD.. it might not be a tooth

It might be something called a milk pearl

I'd take him into your Ped and ask. Milk pearls will go away on there own and they do the same thing as teething.. It's like a HARD white head on his gums..
Uncomfortable and annoying but will go away in a week or so.
