Can’t anyone see that the recent bombings in London and the knighting of Salman Rushdie may be connected? This is would be somewhat analogous to the US electing Satan as president – many of the fundamentalist Christens would not just be up in arms, but they would take up arms.

i just rented a 2 bedroom apt but our master bedroom is hot! The AC in the living room doesnt cool it well at all. Does anyone know a good way to cool a 15' X 15' bedroom without installing a window AC? I've heard of portable AC units but I think they are pricey. Thanks

I am a 62-year-old, somewhat overweight, male. I regularly do aerobic exercises, and use a weight machine. I also do situps and pushups. Recently I have begun to experience lower back pain and weakness. Is it possible that either or both the pushups or situps are causing, or aggravating , this problem? Thanks!

Ok...so
I really like this guy and when i woke up this morning i immediatly started to think about him. I catch my self thinking about him all of the time.
He knows I like him and I'm pretty sure he likes me too.
I never get to see him cause he lives kind of far from my house and its summer now, so I cant just go to school and see him. He is ALWAYS on my mind and I miss him sooooo much. I still talk to him on myspace but its not the same. I told him I liked him like 2 months ago, but I didnt know he had a girlfriend...but they broke up a couple weeks ago *YESSS* lol, and all I want is to have him like she did. I'm not even sure theres a question to be answered here because i'm pretty sure i'm in love but, what do you think? What can I do to see him? Just tell me something! =)
This is pretty long so thank you for reading it and you might as well write something to get your 2 points

Seems to me there are just too many laws on the books, and more added all of the time. I think it is ridiculous to have a law for everything. So I got to thinking what if we could only limit ourselves to 2 laws what would they be. I say laws against murder and theft.

I received this from a recruitment agency after I applied for a job that I appeared to be extremely well qualified for: "Unfortunately our client is really looking to recruit a recently qualified chemist with a maximum of 2 years industry experience. I will keep your CV on file for future reference."

Is this age discrimination? There doesn't appear to be any doubt that I could do the job.

I live in an apt cmplx and have for 4 years. a new tenant moved in under me and another tenant in the next building. I go to school and work part time, and I never hang out, so I almost never come outside except to get into my car to leave and take out my trash. but when i do c ppl i speak. One day after about 6 months after they moved in, I saw the new downstairs neighbor, and the new next building neighbor hanging out side. As I walked to my car, I spoke to them, and instead of them speaking back, they turned up their lip at me and rolled their eyes. I never spoke again. For months after that, I started noticing that they would stare at me, rolling their eyes. Then about 3 wks ago, I went to check my mailbx, and saw where the downstairs neighbor wrote on MY a/c unit "monica wuz here, and I hate bitc@#s" So Itold the landlord, and she did nothing. Y is this? I tried 2 be friendly. Is it bcuz i don't hang out and im working toward getting away from the envi. and they are not?
