I've been looking at various sites but I can't find one I like. Any recipes you can give me is appreciated. No recipes with alcohol in it though. And please nothing too exotic, no lemony, herb marinades. Thank you!

I marinade mine in a packet of french onion soup mix and water. Or a bottle of teriyaki sauce. Or worstershire sauce and fresh ground pepper. I hate the green herb flavor so I keep my marinades pretty simple :)

You may not believe it - but the following is a killer marinade:

take a bottle of orange juice
1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar (helps tenderize as well as penetrate)
can of cherries
dash of salt (NOT TABLE SALT - IT CAN KILL YA)
dash of pepper

Soak whatever steak you desire in this and grill with a little green fruit tree branches for great smoking flavor - each fruit tree has it's own special gift ... if you don't have access to fruit tree branches - use some rosemary on the coals.

Also - you should not be concerned with alcohol in a recipe - if you soaked a steak in tequilla for a month and then cooked it - every bit of alcohol would be gone before you ate it. If you don't use tequilla in some of your meat recipies ... you really don't know what you are missing. A couple tablespoons in a taco meat recipe really brings the flavor to a head and you cannot taste the alcohol nor could you catch a buzz if you ate the whole cow.

Peace;

This is easy and terrific

Whisk together one cup of zesty Italian dressing and 2 tablespoons of a good steak sauce, marinate overnight and grill.
