heres what happened. an aquaintace i knew had me drive b/c they were drunk & so were my other buds. got into small accident w/ them in it,& now wants me 2 pay. dont think its my fault, heres why: If u smoke cigs u are @ risk of cancer. if you die of cancer b.c cigs is it the cig co. fault or the smoker? its the smoker because of ignorance. which is why they keep thriving. i feel it was their ignorance of lettin me drive, they shouldnt have goten drunk. when i was 16, my dad had me drive cuz he was drunk. i was pulled over for running a red light and given tickets 4, no license, no seatbelt, runnin red light, yet it was revoked at court because it was my dads IGNORANCE of letting me drive. HERES MORE. Its been 6 months since the accident & now she calls bout money. she says it because she needed money 4 brakes. 1st why did she wait so long, she musta felt like it was her fault. 2nd, fact she wants money 4 brakes is like sayin, u hit my car & i want money for a cat. wat do u think. aloha

I scored a 1610 on my SAT and 21 on my ACT. i also have a 3.1 gpa. whats my chance of getting into UCD?
- took many AP classes
-in school clubs/sports/leadership
-work over 30 hours per week (fastfood)
- volunteered @ uc davis med center

should i not send in my act score since its only equal to a 1500 on the sats?

should i retake the sat or act,both?

would applying under an uncommon major improve your chances? ( what kinds)




SAT 2 Scores:
Biology E 530
Literature 490
Mathematics Level 2 510

My uc gpa is a 3.4

What else would help improve my chances?

Any advice would help. Thanks

I vested 100% of my stock in a small company - 1% ownership total - and have left. They've offered me a buyout. As part trying to convince me to take it, they've stated that I'm liable for 1% of the taxes on company income. The company took on investors last month and will not distribute dividends until they've paid the investor back, but claim I would owe taxes on income anyway. Quoting:

"Even though no dividends are allocated, all vested Stock in terms of taxes for LLC’s classified as partnerships for federal income tax purposes file Form 1065 at year's end. Income from the business is reporting to the partners (share-holders) on Form K-1. This “flows” to your personal income tax return Form 1040. If the business has net income of $1M for the year and you own 1% of business, your K-1 will have $10,000 taxable income. You should make estimated tax payments on Form 1040-ES. This income is also subject to self-employment tax of 12.4% up to $97,500 and 2.9% with no cap."

Okay, so my girlfriend, Gabriela, is having a birthday right around the corner...and we've been going out for 2 months. So i thought between a few gifts, and know something i would like to get her, yet i don't know if maybe there is something better. What i want to get her is one of those motion pictures, where the picture has lighting, so it looks like it's flowing. The reason being is her room is a really nice ocean themed room kinda. like blue walls and all that jazz, cuz she loves the ocean. Meaning, it would be to decorate her room. So is the picture idea a good idea? or should it be more personal or sentimental?

I am married for 7 months. Its my 2nd marraige. 1st , though a love marriage culminated to divorce due to dowry demands n incompatibility. 2nd marraige-arranged. From the beggining, i found my husband very quiet and non-interested in me and my life. He also had sexual performance problems which made me feel rejected but i supported him and was patient. My husband and i have stayed together for 35-40 days only since marraige as we are based in diff countries. Once we were away, i felt his disinterest in me all the more so i spoke to my father in law n told him that acc. to me the marraige is not working. I was lost, upset, confused, frustrated n angry with myself n others for putting me in this situation. I stop talking to all including my in-laws n my family. I recently became engaged to the love of my life, one of my very best friends, biggest supporter and just an all around great guy. When I told my best friend about his proposal, she just... couldn't be happy for me. She said the usual "Congratulations, that's great." but her voice betrayed her. Now, I know she wants to be married and have children just as bad as I do, she has a boyfriend, a wonderful man who treats her well and it's only a matter of time I think before he proposes to her. How do I deal with her jealousy? I know she's just jealous because I was proposed to first (she's that kind of girl, and god forbid I get pregnant before her.) I just don't know what to do, she's my best friend so I want to be able to talk with her about it, but I feel like I can't let myself be excited about my OWN engagement because of her. How do I deal with this? If she isn't proposed to, when it comes to planning my wedding, how will I be able to handle her jealousy?
