I wonder sometimes if MLK would be such an influential figure if he wasn't a Christian. Did his occupation help elicit more supporters?

From what I hear from his "I Have a Dream" Speech, there is heavy symbolism from Christianity and while people can say those messages (some of them) are not exclusively Christian, I can't help but wonder where else would he have drawn his ideas from.

My husband has known this boy since he was 10. This 10 year old has now moved into our house and goes to work with my husband everyday. The other day when they got home 2 hours later than ususal, they wre acting strange, like if they were hiding something from me. The proceeded to drink beer and play Playstation and my husband ignored me and acted as if i was a bother. They always hang out together and my husband will even ignore his own children and choose to spend time with this 19 year old over them. Since they have been hanging out, my husband has been making nasty comments to me and being rude and just plain mean. Everytime he does this, his friend laughs and that seems to feed my husband and he continues to do it more. When ever this kid is around my husband is mean. It doesnt matter if its on the phone with me in person.. WHAT DO YOU THINK IS GOING ON?? IS THIS A NORMAL RELATIONSHIP?????? IS THIS A HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP???????

yesterday
i was bored ,so i went to walmart(place i've never been to(my first time to walmart))as i walk , i saw the aquarium area,so i went in,
the first thing that caught my eyes are the live aquarium plants (bulbs)(2.95 eack packet)so i get the two kind that i saw.
hybrid aponogeton and hybrid ulvaceus(dwart lilly)
so i went online and google them
but as i read they are so many kinds and ways to care for them.
i dont know if it really work or not
what kind that they really are
how to care for the one that i bought.
please help me out(give me wedb(s) if you know about them/own some please tell me what they really are and give me some advice)

We feed her a bowl of food in the morning and it sits there pretty much all day. But as soon as something gets thrown in the garbage, even if it's a paper plate, she's right on it licking it and sniffing for more. When any of us gets something to eat, she sits at our feet and stares at us. Just stares. She acts insulted if we yell at her to get out of the garbage, and will follow us around if we have any food for ourselves. At meal times, she can be sound asleep somewhere in the house and as soon as I call the kids to wash up, she's at the table waiting for us to give her our food. We DO NOT feed her from the table and the only time she gets people food is if it falls on the floor and she gets to it before we do. We got her from the shelter almost 2 months ago and at first she messed in the house a lot. Now she's better with that and has a new issue. How can we fix this problem? Or is it something that is embedded into her? She's about 9 months old, black lab mix.

I have seen cars driving around with a Vulcan Science Academy sticker on their back windows. I have tried searching the internet for any place that might sell them but I cannot find any. The only thing I can find are the Starfleet Academy or Starfleet Medical stickers, which I don't want. Can anyone please let me know how I can get a Vulcan Science Academy sticker? Thanks!

My husband wants to read the entire Bible. I gave him my KJV, and he made it through Exodus before he said he couldn't stand to read anymore. Someone had suggested to me that a person should never read from front to back. Should I recommend a different order in which to read? Should I get a different version for him?

If you read the whole book, how did you go about doing it? And which version(s) did you read?

Me & my mother in law is in a hudge fight. My husband and I married four years ago and have a 4 month old togeather. He has 1 child and 2 stepkids from a previous marriage that are currently living with us for the summer. She promises them things and never shows up. The other day the 7 year old got mad and yelled at her calling her a liar. She never comes and sees the baby. When I got married she said she didnt want to become a grandma again and he had enough kids. She wouldnt hold my daughter in the delivert room. So I got mad when she promised to come get them and didnt. I told her to stay away from me and my daughter. I was mad. I dont want her to do that to my daughter. She talked crap about my husband ex wife and me and his ex actually get along fairly well but his mom talks to her for hours and goes up there. She always tells me when she talks to her and she makes it sound like she wishes they would get back togeather. I dont want to keep my daughter from getting to know her.

Nearly daily, atheists and other non-Christians are harrassed and asked what we are doing in the R&S section. Today, while perusing the General Science section, I come across this question from a known R&S member. At first, I beleive he is asking a serious question, so I click on it. Instead, I find him in the science section, spreading lies ala Kent Hovind, making claims that a growing segment of the scientific community is moving against the idea of a billion year old Earth. Fortunately, 9 out of 10 responders have put him in his place, and explained to him that even a ten year old child could see through the lies and arguments used...

So, what are you people doing in a section you have no business in? HUH?

The very fact that you are still alive and able to make choices makes my posts a public service of sorts. Anyway here is the question. Can you HONESTLY say that there isn’t something in your being that says there has to be more to life than what this world exudes? Army says cut off age is 42


The Army is again considering extending the deployment time of our Troops.

My question is would you enlist to shorten the time our Troops have to spend in the sandbox?

I would today even with my previous service time taken off, I'm over the age limit.

Additional Details

Those of us that can pull our weight and are willing should be allowed to do so, whether it be in a office here or just guarding supplies in the sandbox to fighting as long as we can pass muster!
