How terrible is Continental Airlines?

Question

We're flying to Europe from the West Coast. It's a 14 hour trip. Is it worth an extra $200 to fly on Air Canada? Is Continental atrocious?

depends on what kind of plane. they put us on a 747 from houston to norway and that was horrible since the tv's were every 4 rows and there was no leg room or anywhere to walk around since it was sitted 333 333 . what made me mad was on the return flight to houston from new york they put us on a 777 where we each our own tvs and could pick what movies we want to watch, etc, and that was only a 3 1/2 hour flight. if you are going to be on a 767 or 777 (have own tv's even in coach) then i would stick with them but if not then go with air canada

Continental and terrible do not go together. Continental has great service and they still have the free meal that other airlines do not. The crews have always been professional and friendly on my flights. I have also been generously rewarded for choosing to switch to another flight when asked to volunteer, as I usually travel by myself. I have never had a problem with Continental and will continue to fly with them. You have made a good choice in using CO.

Continental has the best service out of any US Carrier, i enjoy it, their service is prompt and friendly, but my i'd jsut stick to continental, usually continental uses the 767 or 777 for a trans-atlantic flight, their 747's are scarce

Continental is my first choice when it comes to flying and I am an infrequent flyer. I also worry about lost baggage and poor customer service and anytime I have flown Continental it has been outstanding!

I flew Continental in April and it was great. The service was much better than other airlines I've flown on!

Continental is exceptional. I just flew internationally on Continental a few months ago and could not have been happier
