It might be nice to live forever (or perhaps not), and the desire to do so is more than understandable, but there's no evidence to support that. And no, not any part of my soul thinks I can live forever.
Part of me does think there is life outside of this planet though. The universe is a big place and abiogenesis is statistically inevitable somewhere else -- the question is whether self-aware life is out there.

Of course I have wishes, and I wish I could live forever. But wishes are just that. Wishful thinking does not make something real. On the contrary, it blinds your mind for reality.

Honestly? No, not really... I know there is something inside of me that WANTS to live forever, never die, WANTS there to be more meaning to life, etc... But that is a human condition. And, it doesnt mean that, because I want it, it must be real.

Yes I can honestly say that.
And gut feelings don't work out most of the time anyhow.

Congratulations. As much competition as there is, I do believe that you definitely win dumb post of the day award. Keep up the silly work.

Of course I'd like to live forever. Survival instinct is built in my genes.

So the warm fuzzies of religion tug at your heart strings. I wish it to be true, so it is?
Get over your self, wishing doesn't make it so.
