Why did the mayans predict the world will end on dec. 21 2012? I heard something about astronauts predicting the rotation of the sun will reverse, or something like that...can i get full info about dat? and also is there any real reason to believe that the world really will end in 2012?

My bf, myself and 2 other couples are going camping July 6-8 in a PA State Park. There is a fishing hole, a beach and bathroom facilities, although we are in the woods. We are bringing the following:

I mean sure we evolved from apes or what have you but it was a slow process are apes not evolving still losing theyre fur maybe, i dunno it just seems to me there should be a middle man, a process going on as opposed to here's a monkey heres a man over time one became the other. same with everything else i mean why isnt there a fish which keeps trying to breath air, i realise these things take millions of years but, millions of years have passed. i always thought the same about coal, why is it running out i it not being made constantly, there was a millions years ago now...and now...and now so it should be getting made all the time, the same applies to this i feel there should be weird walking on two legs amphibians. anyone able to shed any light on this?

I'm a owner operator and got hurt unloading my trailer,insurance company mishandled my claim so much and the company I was leased to terminated my contract and the hospital that released me back to work without even ex-ray to make sure I was ok to drive my truck and when the pain wasn't going away called insurance company they said to use the same claim number , so I did and finally they let my docter order a bone scan and then he refurred me to a nueroligist and after almost a year the insurrance company agreed to pay for a mri which concluded my docters fidings that if I don't get surgery I will become crippled. Tried to get disabilty they said I made to much I did not qualify and the attorney I retained seems to have gotten scared. So if there are any attorneys that not affraid of taking on these major corporations please could you email me at speedbumps83@yahoo.com

why is it so hard for my husband to have sex without a BJ first? for a while he denied it, saying that he just likes to have one before sex... and btw, this started with me; he never had this issue with any other girls. but last night pissed me off so badly that i've cut him off until further notice. and i changed the password on our computer so he can't look at porn anymore... until i see an improvement. so last night, i thought he was asleep, so i changed into some pjs and brushed my teeth and went to bed... but then he started with the whine (which means he wants something)... i told him, "no. i don't feel like doing that and i've already done it once today." he said, "fine. goodnight." i called him a jerk and told him to go whack it. he fell asleep like two seconds later.
usually i give in... but last night i didn't, just to see what would happen. now i'm really disappointed. so my question is why do guys do this? and how can i change it?

I know there are three methods when using simultaneous equations: elimination, substitution and graph.However, I don't know the answer to the following:

7x - 5y = - 1
3y = 4x

The person to give me the correct answer along with working out gets 10 points!

PS. I understand the concept but this equation is kind of new to me.

I have been engaged for nine months an i dont agree on prenups cause i think when you love someone you should not put limitations on them. Me an my fiancee has been arguing about this for the last 3 months an my grandma thinks its unifair an i should not marry than my future mother in law you know" agress with her beloved son about the pre nup" so that becomes a problem. To top things off she tries persuade me on the phone for four hours talking about he will love me more if i agreed. i have not talked to her for three days she use to be someone i confided in an now i just dread too talk to her. i come to find out that she is the one that is very passive in her marriage.

I'd appreciate if anyone comes up with 5 simple sentences (Do not write complicated sentences). They must distinguish between American and Canadian English. Ignore the spelling differences, if any (for example, colour and color). Indicate Canada or U.S. for each sentence. Why am I asking this question? I don't find any difference between the two but I keep hearing American English, Canadian English and so on. You may give spoken sentences such as, "How's life treating you?" etc. Thanks.

We have a 10 ft drainage / utility easement that runs the length of our back fence. My husband would like a build a retaining wall at 8 ft to bring the rest of the yard level. Are we allowed to build that type of structure in an easement?

There are retaining walls installed by the builder that run along both sides of the property and into the easement.

So we went to the FOB show in Indiana on June 12, I thought Fall Out Boy was the best. What about you guys? I had never heard of Cobra Starship, but they were AWESOME. I liked the others (excluding Paul Wall) but I already listened to them. A lot of people I've talked to say +44 was the best. In the 1800's it was the Democrats who opposed freedom and equality for all, and the Republicans who championed the "little guy" and equality for all.

Today we see a sharp shift, where it is the Democrats who are seen as the champions of the "little guy" and the disenfranchised, and Republicans who are seen as dividers and overtly racist and intolerant.

I am not asking what you think about these parties, not whether you believe the statement above is accurate. The statement represents what the parties are known for, not what they actually are.

My question is about history. In the 1950-60's it was largely the Democrats fighting for Civil Rights, but they opposed it in the 1800's.

When and why did this shift happen?

I'm looking for understanding of fact, not political opinion, I want to make that clear.
