Is pronounced "austin" martin or "a**-ton" martin? I've always said the latter. The way it's spelled doesn't look like it should be pronounced like the name Austin. Thanks!

I've had MacGyver (male, persian/sphynx) for about a year and 2 months, and he is not much older than that. He is the most well behaved cat I have ever seen or heard of. He pretty muc acts like a dog, ie...comes on command, fetches, etc...

Well here lies the problem. In the past three days he hasn't been using his litter box. He pees and poops on couches and chairs. (pooped on 1 couch and peed on 2 chairs) He doesn't seem sick or anything and he hasn't been through any unusual stress or changes. Is this a common problem and how can it be solved.

My thinking is how should we measure when another alien species is ready for 1st contact? Should it be technological advancement, their zenophobic views and aggression, or their interaction with each other and the 'unexpected'? Also how should we contact them? Their government and/or hierarchy, individuals, broadcast across the whole planet at once, with what radio, tv, a landing craft (ignoring the issues of distance in space)?

This girl i go the car from had a lean aganst her for the remaining balence which was 1000 and i paid it off a year ago, and now she is telling me that she still owes the company still some money and i cant get the title, and its not one of her priorites and the car needs fixing but i dont wanna put no more money into a car that i dont own. and i need to get a more dependable car and i wanted to trade this one in.. but i cant because i dont have the title?? I like my lettuce at the top, where it belongs, but everytime I go, no matter which store, no matter who makes the sub, they put the lettuce on the BOTTOM.

I'm just wondering why they do it this way? I just deal with it because it's easier than looking like a prick and asking "could you please put the meat on the bottom side of the sub and lettuce on top?" I just don't understand it, you want the meat on the bottom because it's closer to your tongue.

I got back with my girlfriend 4 weeks ago, i love her to bits and i want something special with her bascially a life. I lied to my gf when i first met her that my parents would be ok with me dating an english girl. However i did invite my gf to my house before when my dad wasnt home, she got on really well with my mum and sisters and they were ok with me dating an english girl. HAS ANY NOTICED THAT THE CAVS CAN'T CATCH A BRAKE WHEN IT COMES TO THE REFS CALLING FOULS. THE WHOLE YEAR THE SPURS WERE CRYING AND COMPLAINING ABOUT REFS CALLING BOGUS FOULS AND TREATING THEM DIFFERANTLY. THEY EVEN SUSPENDED A REF FOR THE ALTERCATION BETWEEN HIM AND TIM DUNCAN. NOW SINCE THE PLAYOFFS STARTED THE REFS DON'T CALL ANYTHING ON THE SPURS AND EVERYTHING ON THE OTHER TEAM. THE BEST EXAMPLE WAS LAST GAME WHEN LABRON SHOT THAT 3 WITH BRUCE BOWEN ON HIS BACK 5 FEET FROM A REF THAT WAS LOOKING RIGHT AT THE FOUL BUT WHAT HAPPENED A "NO CALL" DOES ANYONE ELSE NOTICE WHATS GOING ON OR IS IT I JUST HATE THE SPURS THAT MUCH??????

We are in a long distance relationship. When I call to talk to him and he is busy or spending time with others, I sometimes get frustrated. He says I am being selfish. All I want to do is talk to him. What should I do? What justifies presidential suspension of habeas Corpus?
Does suspension of Habeas potentially give the executive power to curtail exposure of criminal activity originating in the executive branch?
Does suspension of Habeas Corpus potentially give the executive unprecedented power to stifle public opposition to executive policy?
Is that potential acceptable in light of the principles the United States of America is founded upon?
If such powers which are absolute (and eventually history shows absolute power corrupts absolutely) is it not an imperative of the first order that such powers should be revoked yesterday and such powers should have never been evoked in the first place?
Is the legislative majority failing and failing miserably , almost criminally, in correcting this potentially insidious power?
If so, why so ?
The executive assures the public that this power is only used against "terrorists" and "of course " would never be used for any other reason against American citizens but in the final analysis the ability to fix a problem by simply making an individual disappear is a power we must not allow and by all rational the revocation of suspension of Habeas Corpus should have been the number one priority of the legislature in cleaning our own house before continuing on to promote democracy on foreign soil..
Yet it stands and it stands because our governance allows it to stand and the public fails to demand and demand emphatically that it stand no longer.
In failing to correct this abysmal problem we are giving license to absolute corruption of the principles of democracy and freedom.
