Tylenol is considered safe throughout all trimesters of pregnancy.
During the first trimester, Ibuprofen, according to many pregnancy books and medical websites with advice, can be taken VERY sparingly, in low doses, among women that have low risk pregnancies.
It's safer though to stick with Tylenol, and even safer to ask your doctor, because only they are going to know details of your health and risks to your baby, and every pregnancy is different.

You can take 2 regular strength tylenol a day or 1 extra strength tylenol a day. I take the one extra strength because I get really bad headaches!

Hope this helps

Tylenol. You can also take Benadryl and Sudafed; though they're not painfkillers, they are commonly taken during pregnancy and are safe for the baby. Ask your doctor for a list of medications pregnant women can take. Most, if not all, have them. Good luck! :-)

IBprofin is contraversial...apparently it blocks certain nutrients to the baby...i've been taking it between my tylenol 3 and my baby is fine but i'm not very far along. I don't know what kind of pain you're in but my doctor is prescribing some kind of narcotic next week for my back.........good luck and i hope you feel better!

Tylenol. But, if you want professional advice, you can make a quick call to any pharmacy and the pharmacist can confirm this over the phone.

Advil is a NO NO. Asprin is not recommended.

The only one I've been told is safe is plain Tylenol

Tylenol in recommended doses only. (My doctor never told me to avoid extra-strength, he just said not to take it more often than the dosage instructions on the bottle.) Advil (which is ibuprofen) is not safe.

Ibuprofen can cause bleeding problems as it acts in the same way as aspirin. I have a blood clotting problem and have to avoid both.Tylenol is generally regarded as the best thing to take
