News.com.au Flash player interactives include one that states that CO2 and methane contribute 80% of the greenhouse effect. Any child can access an encyclopedia online that says that water contributes up to 86%. 36% as gas and the rest as cloud. Makes a big difference in modeling.
Another Flashplayer interactive by the same authors states that it has been proven that ALL global warming is caused by increases in CO2 levels. Probably and Significant contibution perhaps but proven and ALL. How could such a thing be proven? ALL requires that ANY form of natural effect must be discounted. Again just not possible.
So why would someone go to the trouble of producing such presentations and why would any sentient journalist publish them online where kids and their teacher may access them?
Remember the Great Wall of China and the rabbits adverts? Is it possible that this stuff is a joke? I doubt it somehow.
Sentient and Journalist, only an oxymoron in Australia? Aussie jokes anyone?

Thanks.

There are billions of things in our universe that the naked eye will never ever be able to see, not even with the most highly advance technological systems this world offers. Why do you put such high stakes in proof/evidence and sight?

You can see far more through the eyes of faith than through the physical eyes of sight. You can see far more with understanding than you could see without this God given intelligence. Surely you must know in your deepest heart that you are not alone in this universe. That there is a God who cares for you.

The immigration has been a bit one sided . . . Would you agree or disagree that certain immigrants deserve precedence or expedited service for legal status? Specifically, would you agree or disagree that any person who has a four year college degree or better from an American University or comprable international university should receive expedited immigration service pending back ground checks? Or how about immigrants that have the financial resources to reasonably support themselves and or open a small business? Do you think these people should be lumped together with other illegal immigrants or do they deserve special status? Thank you in advance for your response(s).

Please, no naysayers.

From this Yahoo Answers site and from my kid's 7th grade teacher (who taught her 18 month old to read), I have learned that children can learn to read between the ages of 2 and 5 AND IMMENSELY ENJOY THE PROCESS OF LEARNING TO READ.

I am only interested in responses from people who have taught their young children to read. I know there is lots of disbelief--think as you wish. People have done this, and I just want to know how they approached the task, what worked to get their young ones reading.

Thanks!

I am interested in knowing either the results from related scientific studies or in hearing anecdotal evidence from persons experienced in the psychological treatment of criminals. If you simply want to rant about your personal views or do not understand the question then please refrain from answering!

A farmer just got married and was going home on his wagon pulled by a team of horses. When one of the hoses stumbled, he said, "That's once."
Then it stumbled again. He said, "That's twice."

Then later it stumbled a third time. This time, he didn't say anything, just pulled out a shotgun and shot the horse dead.

His wife cried out and started to yell at him. The farmer turned to her and said, "That's once."

Christians, why is it important to you (if it is) that you interpret the Bible literally? This may seem like an odd question but think about it. Different sects of Christians can quote different words when reading the same passage, because no one is reading the original translation. If you can read Hebrew and Greek that's great, but for everyone else, how can you claim to understand the literal meaning of the text if you can't read it?

This isn't meant to be a jab at Christianity. I don't see why Christians can't take the spirit of the words instead of arguing over literal meaning. Does God only speak in literal truth? Is there no value in symbol and story? It doesn't seem like it takes anymore of a leap of faith than belief itself. And if you don't read the original language, how can you tell another Christian his meaning is wrong?

I could apply this to Muslims and the Qur'an as well but they seem to be reading Arabic more often.
