A young woman brings home her fiancée to meet her parents.
After dinner, her mother tells her father to find out about the young man.
The father invites the fiancé to his study for a drink.
“So what are your plans?” the father asks the young man.
“I am taking a degree in Religious Education”, he replies.
“Hmmm,” the father says. “Admirable, but what will you do to provide a nice house for my daughter to live in, as she’s accustomed to?”
“I will study,” the young man replies and “God will provide for us.”
“And how will you buy her a beautiful engagement ring, such as she deserves?”
“I will concentrate on studies,” the young man replies, “God will provide for us.”
“And children?” asks the father. “How will you support children?”
“Don’t worry sir, God will provide,” replies the fiancé.
The conversation proceeds like this and each time the father questions the young idealist he insists that God will provide.
Later, the mother asks, “How did it go, honey?”
The father answers, “He has no job and no plans, but the good news is, he thinks I’m God.”

Were on vaca in New York and it's a family reuinion. On the 3rd night we're there, I have a dream that someone knocks on our door, and there's this dude, he has a gun and he shoots us. Then I wake up.

The next day someone knocks on our door, and the dude who works in the lobby never said someone was gonna come. By this time I've already told everyone about my dream, and I yell
"DON'T OPEN THE DOOR!!!!" The dude by this time is pounding on the door, finally he stops, and leaves.

I'm not lying, THIS IS TRUE!!!

after much thought and deliberating, i think that is how Tony died, a gunshot to the head, which ,as the scene kept showing everything from tony's eyes, it ended in his eyes. It seemed a copout at first,but i dont know. I think it lets the viewer decide what happens next. Unless it was some unforseen cirumstance, probably related to huge monetary amounts - for another season, or a movie of sorts, who knows. Only time will tell.

What's up with him? He did a decent version of Optimus Prime for the new movie, so why **** up Megatron and Starscream, two of the iconic characters? They look NOTHING like what they should, and on top of THAT... they're both GRAY from head to toe!!! Not even the right COLOR sceme, @#$%^&&*%@!!! Honestly, is Michael Bay TRYING to piss off Transformer fans, or is he just an idiot? At least Starscream is still a jet, but STILL.... AAARRRRRGGGHHHH!!

I'm going to tell my boss I'm pregnant, and I am coming back after leave. My due date is Jan 18th so I'm planning on telling in three weeks.

The thing is that I don't know how to start; I don't know if I should say, "I asked you to see me because I want to talk to you about my pregnancy...."

BTW My boss is not a nice guy.

A woman at a dinner I was at the other night went ballistic when she overheard me saying that my parents and side of the family could not believe my sister was having children at her wedding -- and I was trying to figure out how best to help my sister set up a special table and have some babysitters on had to help out. The woman was irate that anyne would dare suggest that children / babies should not be at a wedding.

I explained to her that this would be a formal / white glove dinner reception at a very fancy site and you just can't expect toddlers to sit still for such a dinner and there is nothing else there to occupy their time -- plus dinner is at 8pm and the kids have to be up past midnight... not to mention the servers trying to navigate serving dinner / wine around little toddlers (all kids would be between 6 months and 5 years old... and there will be 13 babies / children...)

What do you all think about this topic?

i should start with an explanation. My boyfriend's mom lives in san diego, me and my boyfriend in cincinnati. His sisters (16&13 yrs old) came back a month last year to visit their dad. I"m extremely close with his sisters, they call everyday, and tell me everything about their lives.

Well, one day his oldest sister and i went dancing at a teen dance club, and we came back late, probably around 3.. and i stayed over their house because i didn't want to wake up my entire family. When i told my boyfriends mother this story she complained and said she had taught her daughters "not to sleep around" and i was a horrible example. Basically she called me a wh**e.

But, my boyfriend was already sleeping when we got home, and we had been together two years. I don't drink or smoke, or do any drugs.. and i'm 19, he's 21. Not what i consider a bad example

Was she right to say what she said to me? He won't talk to her now for what she said to me. Should i apologize or was she wrong?

For example I'd like to see a waterproof, shock resistant and solar powered mobile phone invented - incidently, I believe Nokia did invent a solar powered mobile phone - but it seemed to die a death - anyone know which one I'm talking about and can give me a weblink showing this model?

i have too much free time and i need to do something that will make me feel productive and not sound like too much of a loser. also, something relatively cheap and that i can do on my own. i'm not really looking so much for a hobbie but more like a project. something i can complete and feel good about. ...like writing a book (i'd get too confused, though, so that probably wouldn't be too successful). i wanna hear what kinda ideas you guys come up with or have done. i'm counting on you!!
