What's up with him? He did a decent version of Optimus Prime for the new movie, so why **** up Megatron and Starscream, two of the iconic characters? They look NOTHING like what they should, and on top of THAT... they're both GRAY from head to toe!!! Not even the right COLOR sceme, @#$%^&&*%@!!! Honestly, is Michael Bay TRYING to piss off Transformer fans, or is he just an idiot? At least Starscream is still a jet, but STILL.... AAARRRRRGGGHHHH!!

I couldn't agree with you more! And while you might shift some blame on Hasbro for allowing this to happen, it's Bay and his colleagues who are most responsible for pushing this mess on us. Bay isn't an idiot, though, he's a [fill-in-the-black with your favorite pejorative]! All the robot designs, including Prime, are less than what I hoped for. Were I not a non-violent man, I'd throttle him and all his associates for foisting this sacrilege on "gee-oners" especially. For Pete's sake, Starscream is a monkey-bot now! Megatron has the dubious honor of being fitted with a chipper-shredder for a mouth. However, Michael Bay doesn't give a rat's bum for what you or I think. He and his toadies have screwed the true fans of the original franchise. He had to be pressured into hiring Peter Cullen to voice Optimus Prime (thank the stars he relented there) but then spit in our eyes when he didn't hire Frank Welker to voice Megatron. So be it! I will admit I did like some aspects of the last trailer, but the latest trailer is the only thing thus far that has raised my hopes for the movie and the franchise. Honestly, I don't think the film is going to be that spectacular anyway. I might be wrong, but it won't matter if it does well at the box office in its first week of release, because Harry Potter will kill it the following week. Bet on it!

Well, there was a recent vid of him on Yahoo Movies defending the flames on Optimus and he made the claim that the original Transformers characters now look so dated that it's time to modernize. I have to disagree with him on that, especially in light of all the recent cartoon and toy lines that have modernized some of the characters already.
