i have too much free time and i need to do something that will make me feel productive and not sound like too much of a loser. also, something relatively cheap and that i can do on my own. i'm not really looking so much for a hobbie but more like a project. something i can complete and feel good about. ...like writing a book (i'd get too confused, though, so that probably wouldn't be too successful). i wanna hear what kinda ideas you guys come up with or have done. i'm counting on you!!

i like to be artsy, i like music, and i like to think... which is funny since i can't think of anything, ha! (sorry, blockage....)

How about creating a curtain made of old CD's that you don't use anymore? You can get your mom or dad to drill small holes into both sides of the CD (or ask for help when doing it yourself), then use fishing line to string them up along the top of your window. Makes pretty cool rainbows on your wall!!
Or a pin-up board, like for pictures and notes- Use an old piece of would, cut pretty straight. Get some batting and a piece of fabric that fit around the outside of your wood, and staple them to the back. Use ribbon in a cross-hatch pattern to create little nooks for pictures and notes. If you use Corkboard instead of wood, you can tack stuff to it as well. You can even frame it, using an old picture or mirror frame...
It's something to do and it adds color and personality to your space!

How about www.volunteermatch.org volunteering is a great way to get involved and using your time wisely. you could go to a library and ask if you could parti. in a kids book grroup with an activity involving art or music in relation to a book that is read. or go to a homeless shelter, retirement home, or church and ask if they need volunteers or if you could start a class. good luck!

Why don't you buy a sketch book and some art supplies and see if you can start an art book?

You could try to write some poetry..

Put together a scrapbook..

Re-decorate your room..

Try to learn a new sport or skill..take Surfing lessons maybe, or guitar lessons..

Take a Yoga or aerobics class..

Hope one of these ideas sparks an interest! : )

Try pottery! It is fun and doesnt cost much. Also i am a horse lover but you can go to a stables near you and ride, but that costs a bit more, but you could help around and get paid for that.
Also try cooking if horses arnt for you. Its a great way to get creative and eat good!
