I remember someone once telling me there was a second process that was to be done afterwards. I guess it must be something optional, as I can't remember what it was, but I'd still like to know. Thanks!

Last night I took my 15 yr. old daughter to a formal Gala. She has a larger than life personality, and personally introduced herself to some of the celeberties, and also 6 high ranking West Point milatary Officers that were there. When she introduced herself to the Officers, she saluted them and thanked them for serving our country. My problem is this. In a formal civilian function. I think that it is not appropriate to salute these officers. She did each one individually and I thnk if was embarasing to them. She is so excited and I know I have to tell her that this was not appropriate. How do I tell her, do I tell her and when?

She is a double honors student, and also is in ROTC.
(All the Officers danced with her later. she was the youngest person there)

i married my best friend after 5 years (?!!).I sold my house & we bought 1 together.I put 90% of my money in it & paid off our debts..a tidy sum. He contributed " 0 ", not even a stick of furniture..but iwas v. happy My dream of travelling RTW became a reality, after 1 year of marriage we sold up & went. obsessed with climate change & politics, he became obsessive and depressive, writing a book : 95% of worlds population would die in man made catastrophic series of events 15-20 years from now. The further we travelled from home the weirder he got, manipulating and destroying all my self-confidence blaming me always for ..well every negativty.4 wks before we came home he left me. In the Uk he blamed the breakdown from my mistrust of him in all things, meanwhile stealing most of the £ & refused to return my belongings stored @ his dads.A year on i learn he cheated on me, several times with MEN.Am penniless,an emotional wreck, payin stupid money in rent ...what the hell do i do next??:

I have spent many years arguing on the level of politics and ethics.

I had always thought that this was about the lowest level you could really have a coherent argument in, because more basic concepts are too firmly self-evident and ingrained in the minds of those who hold them.

However, after much experience, it's become clear that no attempt at higher level debate is possible unless there is agreement on the basics.

So the only way to make any headway seems to be to start with dispelling the supernatural metaphysics that underlies so much of today's thought. The desired outcome would be either to change the minds of religionists (I know, not much chance of that) or to marginalize them, removing them from any serious consideration in serious debate.

What is the best strategy?

1. Using logic consistently both in dealing with them and educating others?

2. Using ridicule and shame to reveal how absurd their ideas are, and possibly make them actually think about them?

Why do we Britons publically announce our hatred for Blair and Bush, You don't really see the American side of things and what i have seen they have praised Bush for sending men to there men to war.

I have had first hand of a friend dying in Iraq so i do feel the way i do about the two clowns he was sent over and was e-mailing ppl saying he couldnt wait to get home to be married and see his 2 year old daughter and died when he was blown up near a play ground. What was the reason for this war?And what interests me is what do the Americans think of them and it?

Thanx just wondered if anybody felt the same?

I am making a birthday cake for the VP of the company I work for. He told me to make whatever I felt like, so I have decided to do a yellow cake with chocolate frosting, something everyone will eat. I have tons of cake recipes but I would like one that comes out extremely moist, not all dry and crumbly like the last yellow cake I made. Any suggestions or recipes are appreciated. Thanks in advance.
By the way I have to make the cake Thursday night, his b-day is Friday.
