Definitely. The 'coloreds' are too good to be washed with whites.

Whites although may appear to look clean actually attract more dirt to themselves and have a tendency to stink like wet dog if not washed properly (which they almost never are). In time after several washes (I suppose that would be over a period of say 30 years) they tend to begin yellowing or getting a little green. Mix em with colors and the colors will always dominate them and make those whites pink as a little girls Bicycle. Lots of people might like em' better, but truth be told, WHITES SUCK A*S!They cause nothing but problems.

sure, because then they won't become another color if they snuggle up to say like your best black slacks. The other purpose of washing the whites seprately is so that you can add bleach. Usually white items are those that go close to your skin like underwear, sheets, pillowcases, socks.

most definitely. If you wash with colors, the colors could run on the whites and ruin it.

Yes... otherwise they get duller faster... or you can end up in a situation like I had in first year college... a red sweat sock hid among my whites turned all my underwear pink... pretty manly.
