My golden retriever, Levi, was in his outside play-yard this morning and when I went out to give him a pail of fresh water he was acting just like his normal playful self. As I was leaving the yard he slipped and didnt get up. I went back to investigate and he wasnt breathing I tried CPR and checked his airway but nothing seemed amiss. He was up-to-date on all his shots and flea\tick preventative. There was no blood and there is no swelling anywhere that would indicate any bites or stings from any posious animal. My first thought was a brain anyerism but they are supposedly very rare in dogs..... Is there any other cause that would have killed a healthy dog so quickly and without any apparent cause??

Do you REALLY want the government controlling private industry? It's SOCIALISM! Look at public schools and public housing. These things are the bottom of the barrel. Government schools are dangerous and sub-standard. Government housing is dangerous and sub-standard.

I can't believe Americans will swallow public healthcare. Aren't we smarter than that?

I kept dreaming over and over that I took a pregnancy test and the results read possitive and then I had another dream that clashed into these dreams and that was my mom took a pregnancy test and She also had a positive pregnancy test, What do you think this means, Its so weird. I got ancestors that were killed fighting for the flag, however, I get flak from people because I have the insignia of it on a ring that I wear. I have heard people say, "It represents slavery." I wonder if the same people really read about the cause of the American Civil War in any history textbook.

The civil war was started because the southern states felt like they were being ignored for political and economic growth. (seeing as the only major cities were those developed over the mason dixon line, they were right.) The majority of people that fought in the war, felt it was the only way to show the injustice being done to them. The emancipation proclimation was done after a year and a half of the war was already fought, and not as an act of equality, but because Southerns had guarnteed freedom and land to any slave that fought for their cause and the Northern states used the proclamation as a tactic to lower numbers.

So why is the flag hated again?

So if you had sunlight passing through the atmosphere at the equator on the a solar panel perpendicular to the direction of the light waves, how much energy in watts would it produce? I want the answer so I can speculate as to how much energy we could get out of a dyson sphere.

Yesterday afternoon I adopted an 8-week-old border terrier puppy. I have two cats. One is exceptionally mellow and is proving very good with the puppy, the other is being 'territorial' and circling around the puppy prepared to attack it at the slightest opportunity. The reaction by this cat is a bit surprising to me because she is extremely friendly and playful around other cats and people, whereas the mellow cat is normally the more standoffish of the two. In any event, I know it will take time and this is 'normal' and so on, but I was hoping to get some advice on how to expedite the warm-up process so that I don't have to watch them together 24/7 and worry about the cat scratching his eye or something. The other issue is that I don't want the puppy to associate this cat with such a negative experience because border terriers aren't known to be that great with cats to begin with and I don't want him harming her when he's older and larger. At the moment, he just whimpers!
