this is common for people with anxiety. when i get anxious, I want to be alone as well. I dont' want people to see me and I just want to be alone and read a magazine or something.

some people say that when they have panic attacks, they feel like they are either having a heart attack or are going to die. these are normal feelings for someone with severe anxiety. the good news is that there are fabulous medications out there that can help you feel MUCH better - I'd talk to your doctor about them because you don't have to feel this way!

I have anxiety and depression as well. what you describe are all very common traits of anxiety: Tightness in the throat, feeling like you cannot breathe well, lack of sleep, sweating, avoiding social situations, etc.

I used to have such terrible anxiety that i would only allow myself to be around 3 or 4 specific people. Any other situations would cause me to freeaaak the **** out. I have come a long way, though, and now my anxiety as well as my depression is very minimal. Im sure you can get thru it as well.

i have frequent panic attacks and i often feel a great need to walk around back and forth, or pacing. people often mistake it for having to to go to the bathroom, especially when it occurs inside a room.

You have the symptoms of a panic attack. I have anxiety, but I don't get panic attacks. Are you being treated for them?
